We are seeking an innovative and driven Director Marketing & Communications. 

The Director of Marketing & Communications will be instrumental in defining and executing our strategic vision, driving both high-level initiatives and day-to-day operations. This is a great opportunity to lead the brand development of the market leader in a new and evolving industry. This pivotal role will oversee a cohesive communication strategy, thought leadership, and brand positioning across all channels and requires a unique combination of visionary leadership and hands-on execution to deliver tangible and impactful results. If you are a strategic thinker and have a proven track record in brand management, content creation and social media management, then you are exactly what we are looking for! 

You will lead Journee’s Marketing department, oversee a Marketing Manager and report to our Chief Operating Officer. Here’s a detailed breakdown of your responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: You will develop comprehensive marketing and communication strategies aligned with the company's goals, set objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs) and you will be accountable for the marketing deliverables and outcomes. You will conduct market research and analysis to inform strategy and identify new opportunities.
  • Integrated Marketing Campaigns: You will design and oversee the implementation of multi-channel marketing campaigns, ensuring consistency and alignment with our brand message.
  • Thought Leadership: You will create Thought Leadership initiatives to position Journee as a leader in our industry through insightful and impactful Thought Leadership content.
  • Leadership: You will be responsible for leading, guiding, coaching, and supervising a Marketing Manager, as well as managing external service providers such as agencies and freelancers.
  • Brand Management: You will establish and maintain a strong, consistent brand identity across all platforms, oversee the development and execution of branding campaigns, and ensure adherence to brand guidelines in all communications and marketing materials.
  • Content Creation: You will oversee and collaborate with a Marketing Manager to develop high-quality, engaging content that aligns with our brand voice and business objectives. Additionally, you will develop and execute product marketing strategies to support product launches and ongoing product promotion.
  • Social Media Management: You will develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy to increase brand awareness and engagement. You will manage and grow our social media presence across all platforms.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 7+ years of experience in marketing and communications, with a proven track record of driving strategic initiatives and delivering results
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills with a hands-on, action-oriented approach, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Creative thinker with a passion for storytelling and innovation
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficiency in marketing automation tools, content management systems, and social media platforms
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
