Job Description

The Senior Market Manager – Flight is responsible for managing airline partnerships, optimizing revenue, and driving strategic growth for flight products. This role requires strong analytical skills, deep industry knowledge, and expertise in airline revenue management, pricing, and distribution. The ideal candidate will work closely with airlines, OTAs, and internal teams to develop and execute market strategies, improve inventory access, and enhance customer experience.

Key Responsibilities include:

Market & Partnership Management:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with airline partners to negotiate competitive fares, inventory access, and exclusive deals.

  • Identify new business opportunities with airlines and travel partners to expand flight offerings.

  • Monitor airline industry trends, competitor activity, and market dynamics to adjust strategies accordingly.

Revenue & Performance Optimization:

  • Analyze booking data, pricing trends, and revenue performance to maximize sales and profitability.

  • Collaborate with airline revenue management teams to optimize pricing, promotions, and availability.

  • Implement strategies to improve conversion rates and increase market share.

Product & Distribution Strategy:

  • Work with product and technology teams to enhance flight booking experiences across online platforms.

  • Optimize flight distribution through GDS, NDC, and direct airline connections.

  • Ensure seamless integration of flight products with cross-sell opportunities (hotels, car rentals, vacation packages).

Data & Insights:

  • Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify trends and business opportunities.

  • Use data-driven insights to develop strategies that drive revenue and customer satisfaction.

  • Provide regular reports on market performance, partner engagement, and key initiatives.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with marketing teams to develop campaigns that drive flight bookings and customer engagement.

  • Align with customer service teams to improve post-booking experiences and minimize disruptions.

  • Coordinate with finance and legal teams to ensure compliance with airline contracts and agreements.

Requirements

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Aviation, Economics, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in airline revenue management, travel distribution, or related fields.

  • Strong understanding of airline pricing, inventory management, and distribution channels (GDS, NDC, direct connections).

  • Excellent analytical skills with proficiency in data tools (Excel, SQL, BI tools).

  • Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.

  • Experience working with OTAs, metasearch engines, and travel platforms is a plus.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a strategic and data-driven mindset.
