The Digital Item Enablement team ensures customers can buy what they want how they want it, with a tech-powered, people-led approach that is helping to define the future of retail. This is a transformative opportunity leading the strategic management and delivery of key initiatives that support automated, sustainable processes, decisions and optimizations for what Walmart sells online.
What you'll do:
Strategic Oversight: Understands, articulates, and applies principles of Walmart’s strategy to how we manage Transactability, collaborating with stakeholders to understand enterprise goals, processes, and requirements. This includes data, product, and operational strategies for how we should work with business and tech teams to ensure we have anything a customer wants available anywhere they want to shop.
Business Leadership: Coordinates, completes, and oversees job-related activities and assignments by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders; supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs; identifying and communicating goals and objectives; building accountability for and measuring progress in achieving results; identifying and addressing improvement opportunities; and demonstrating adaptability and promoting continuous learning. Set vision, strategy, and direction for product and engineering partners. Ensure stakeholder alignment.
Applied Business Acumen: Provides recommendations to business stakeholders for complex business issues. Develops business cases for projects with a projected return on investment or cost savings. Translates business requirements into projects, activities, and tasks aligning to overall business strategy. Serves as an interpreter and conduit to connect business needs with tangible solutions and results. Connect data and provide insights based on data while working with stakeholders to continuously simplify or enhance processes, such as operational adjustments. Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and optimization. Respond to complex and time-sensitive inquiries.
Problem Formulation: Translates business problems into Transactability requirements and sustainable processes, with an eye towards automation.
Data Visualization: Generates appropriate graphical representations of data and model outcomes. Understands customer requirements to design appropriate data representation for multiple data sets. Develop reports and dashboards to address stakeholders’ key concerns and enable data-driven decision-making.
Exploratory Data Analysis: Assists in the planning, design, and implementation of exploratory data analysis. Conducts statistical experiments (for example: hypothesis tests, confidence intervals) and builds basic statistical models using tools such as Python & R. Uses advanced knowledge in data discovery and machine learning to analyze data, identify patterns, trends, outliers, and correlations.
Risk Mitigation: Identify potential risks related to process and system changes.
What you'll bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Statistics or a related field. Master's degree preferred
- Experience (5+ years) in eCommerce, Merchandising Operations or Digital Merchandising
- Experience working with large data sets and visualization platforms
- Strong analytical acumen with ability to use basic SQL and draw insights
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage projects independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Background at the intersection of Retail, eCommerce, Analytics & Data Science preferred

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
