Who You Are

As a Senior Manager, Sales within the Sales organization, you will continue to build on your leadership skills and track record and take on multiple teams. You will lead your team of account executives along with several other teams and their managers in a sales region. 

You have shown a consistent ability to perform at a high level, always sharing knowledge and best practices, and developing deeper relationships cross-functionally. You are viewed as a go-to resource for the team and have shown an ability to truly "think big" for what it is in the best interest of the business. You will work to identify trends in the broader market you are serving and you take initiative to identify problems and bring solutions to the table. You use data as a foundation for making decisions. You will work closely with the sales managers to develop their skill sets and build a strong leadership team. 

Your Success ProfileWhat You Will Work OnTeam Development & Coaching:

  • Conduct Weekly 1:1 Meetings with managers and skip-level 1:1s with Account Executives to drive accountability, support and enhance sales and team performance and development, and maintain open communication across all levels
  • Lead and Run Weekly Regional Deal Desk or Demoramas: Facilitate regional Deal Desk sessions or Demoramas and live call training to drive deal progression and Account Executive development.
  • Ensure Accountability: Monitor sales calls through Gong, offering actionable feedback to improve performance and adherence to sales strategies.

Sales Performance & Accountability:

  • Oversight and Direction on Top-of-Funnel Behaviors: Ensure consistent pipeline generation by holding Account Executives accountable for top-of-funnel activities.
  • Maintain Pipeline Accountability & Hygiene: Ensure proper sales pipeline management, consistent pipeline hygiene, and accurate sales reporting on a weekly basis.
  • Manage Monthly and Quarterly Forecasting for the Territory: Oversee forecasting efforts, ensuring alignment with revenue targets and accurate projections on a weekly basis.

Strategic Sales Support:

  • Provide Oversight into Strategic Deals: Ensure alignment with business objectives and financial goals, providing strategic guidance and oversight into key deals.
  • Manage Underwriting Exceptions & Expedite Requests: Provide Support and Coverage to Managers for Health Insurance Workers Compensation and Unemployment Insurance, ensuring efficient processing.
  • Foster Joint Selling Efforts: Facilitate collaboration with internal partners (Human Resources, Customer Success, Onboarding, International) to maximize deal success and drive cross-departmental alignment.

Operational Leadership & Accountability:

  • Manage and Resolve ROE Disputes: Oversee and resolve Rules of Engagement (ROE) disputes to ensure fair, transparent, and effective deal execution.
  • Lead Change Management Initiatives: Manage and lead change initiatives to ensure smooth transitions in processes, technologies, and organizational changes.

Partner Development & Networking:

  • Drive New Partner Channel Opportunities: Ensure partner development accountability to contribute to revenue growth and foster strong relationships
  • Lead Event Marketing: Ensure Account Executives are actively networking

Talent Management & Recruitment:

  • Actively partner with People Business Partners and Talent Acquisition

  • Foundational Sales Knowledge - the specific set of sales skills (prospecting, cold calling, nurturing, engaging, presenting, negotiating, closing etc) and knowledge (product, markets, trends, business etc) a person possesses to enact the exchange of value between a buyer and the vendor.
  • Clear communication - the ability to articulate thoughts and express ideas effectively using oral, written, visual and non-verbal communication skills, as well as listening skills to gain understanding.

Qualifications 

  • 3-5 year in a sales representative role; preferably within the industry (Human Capital Management)
  • 3+ years or more of prior management experience; prior management consulting experience is a plus
  • A strong understanding of coaching framework and You love data - you only make decisions that are backed up by the numbers
  • You have strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to think strategically about the direction of our sales team and areas for growth/opportunity
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Familiarity with data analysts and reporting 
  • Hardworking, persistent, and dependable


This position is paid a base wage plus incentive compensation. The base wage range for this remote position is targeted at $175,500 - $201,800, and competitive On-Target Earnings, inclusive of incentive compensation, of *$273,500 - $299,800. Final offers may vary from those listed. *Incentive compensation is not guaranteed, and earning is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive compensation plan.

Actual compensation is based on multiple factors that are unique to each candidate, including and not limited to skill set, level of relevant experience, and specific work location.  Salary ranges for positions based in other locations may differ based on the cost of labor in that location.
