What you'll be doing:

In this role, we are looking for an accounting professional with prior accounting experience and should have handled a team size of approx. 20 people. In this role, you will be encouraged to work on strict deadlines and in a fairly high-pressure business environment. 

  • Collaborate with the team to ensure all month-end activities are completed accurately and on time, meeting the established critical metrics and SLA targets. 
  • Implement effective processes and controls to ensure the highest quality of work and compliance with accounting standards. 
  • Proactively identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies during the month-end close process to minimize disruption and ensure the smooth execution of tasks. 
  • Foster strong relationships with clients, addressing their concerns and ensuring their satisfaction with the team's performance. 
  • Work closely with internal and external auditors to provide necessary documentation and support, ensuring successful audits and maintaining a high level of compliance. 
  • Lead and manage teams to ensure timely deliverable
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and resolution of any obstacles
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices, and incorporate them into RTR processes and procedures
  • Provide guidance and training to staff, and promote a culture of continuous improvement and learning
  • Ensure compliance with ethical standards and professional guidelines, and maintain confidentiality of audit information


What you'll need:

  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in handling audits
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage and lead a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Chartered Accountant from India. Knowledge of IFRS will be additional benefit.
  • Experience in a Media industry (preferred)
  • Good working knowledge in MS office – Excel and Word
