The impact of Payroll Specialist to Coupa:

As the Payroll Specialist at Coupa, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and ensuring the accuracy of our international payrolls. You will be responsible for delivering payroll activities with exceptional quality and timeliness while serving as the initial point of contact for employee inquiries.

With your keen attention to detail and love for working with numbers, you will excel in this role. Your collaborative approach will allow you to build strong relationships with cross-functional departments, driving internal customer satisfaction and providing timely information to business owners. You proactively research and resolve issues, escalating to management when necessary. Your strong organizational and communication skills enable you to effectively prioritize, plan, and communicate activities and findings. Additionally, you are fearless in voicing your suggestions for process improvements, always seeking to enhance our payroll operations.

What you'll do:

• Payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local regulations.
• Review payroll for discrepancies or errors and collaborate on timely resolutions.
• Work closely with the HR team to ensure seamless data flow between HR and payroll systems.
• Serve as a knowledgeable resource, offering payroll system support and guidance to internal team members.
• Apply understanding of tax regulations, labor laws, and local tax requirements to maintain compliance.
• Support payroll-related process improvement efforts and assist with system updates or implementations.

What you will bring to Coupa:

• 3-5 years of US payroll experience, preferably in a fast-paced, growing company.
• CPP or FPC Certification preferred.
• US and Canada experienced preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with experience managing multiple payroll tasks and deadlines.
• Proficiency in Excel, including the ability to create and analyze ad hoc reports.
• Comprehensive understanding of payroll practices, tax regulations, labor laws, and 401(k) retirement plan administration.
• Team oriented mindset and the ability to collaborate effectively.
• Helpdesk Ticket Service – provide timely resolutions to employee inquiries.
