Senior Manager Risk and Controls, Marketing and Corporate Affairs

The Marketing and Corporate Affairs (MCA) Chief Controls Office (CCO) is a line one risk function that provides integrated risk services and efficient risk management to support MCA deliver business and customers outcomes in a safe manner.
The purpose of this role is to lead the management of the MCA risk profile and provide trusted line one risk advice to MCA stakeholders. The MCA Support Unit is focused on building trust and pride in the Commonwealth Bank with direct responsibility for end-to-end marketing, branding, stakeholder insights, government relations, communications and corporate social responsibility.
Impact and Contribution:
You will play a key role within the team accountable for the management of the MCA business profile and support with enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of the risk and control environment across MCA’s three support divisions, Group Marketing, Corporate Affairs and Environment and Social.
Your Responsibilities:
You will lead a team of three Line 1 Risk Managers to support the business with a comprehensive and integrated risk service. You will provide risk management advice and undertaking risk management activities, including:
- Managing the MCA business profile including the identification, assessment and remediation of operational risk items including Issues, Incidents, Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs), Compliance Self-Assessments (CSAs), Change Management Risk Standard deliverables (CMRS).
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Be a trusted risk advisor to MCA stakeholders by providing considered pragmatic risk advice.
- Be dedicated to developing people and nurturing new skills
- Embed and enhance risk knowledge and culture across our business stakeholders.
- Work closely with our Line 2 Operational Risk and Compliance counterparts to ensure compliance with Group Policies, Standards and regulatory obligations.
- We embed agile methodologies and continuous improvement practices in the team. In this agile environment we flow to work as required within our MCA CCO team.
- Support delivery of robust Non-Financial Risk Committee meetings by working closely with the CCO Governance team
