RealReal is looking for a candidate who is an expert people leader, innovative, enjoys team development, navigates change management, and has an interest in the luxury fashion resale market. The Senior Manager of receiving will be responsible for overseeing all processes related to managing inbound consignments, driving the productivity, quality, and engagement of their team, and developing and leading the leaders who report to them.
This position is based in Perth Amboy, NJ and may require intermittent travel to Secaucus, NJ and will report to the Director, Receiving Operations.
What You Get To Do Every Day

The Senior Manager of Receiving will be responsible for understanding all inbound consignment product flow and merchandise attribution standards. The manager will also focus all department decision-making and operating procedures on employee and consignor experience, quality, and productivity.

Collaborate cross-functionally across wide-ranging teams to identify ways to drive process improvement, team development, and labor sharing.

Strong presence on the receiving floor with a focus on coaching, engagement, product flow, quality, and brand standards

Liason between Exec leadership, merchandising, strategy, and financial planning teams to drive streamlined communication, execution, and accountability among direct reports
-
Look for ways to improve and promote quality; demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness.

Oversee a team of about 90 employees working through your leadership team to ensure all inbound product service level agreements and key performance indicators are met.

Responsible for all hiring, which includes conducting interviews, providing feedback, and supporting onboarding

Understand headcount needs based on unit projections and being proactive about hiring for future vacancies.

Responsible for creating and maintaining a positive work environment that reduces turnover and improves team engagement.

Constantly providing professional development for employees with a strong focus on those in leadership roles, including leads, supervisors, assistant managers, and managers.

Accountable to full-team overall metric performance. Monitor employee performance at all levels with a strong focus on leadership and elevated roles; providing coaching and training where needed.

Utilize reporting platforms to manage individual production, team performance, and reconcile exceptions issues.

Attend all required cross-departmental meetings and present relevant information to the team

Responsible for conducting team touch bases, team meetings, leadership development activities, and performance reviews
What You Bring To The Role
Minimum Requirements:
-
5+ years of experience managing a large team of diverse employees, preferably a non-exempt workforce. Experience in workforce planning and scheduling is required.

10+ years of work experience preferably within a fashion, retail, e-commerce, manufacturing organization and/or an operationally intensive business.

Strong verbal and written communication is required. The candidate must feel comfortable speaking and presenting regularly in large groups.

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with diverse personalities in a matrix organization
-
Knowledge of luxury fashion, top designers, current styles, fabrics, silhouettes, garment construction is highly preferred.

Understanding of operational processes and feels comfortable working in a production environment.

Roll up your sleeves and adopt an action-oriented mindset to have an impact in a fast-paced, rapidly changing, and explosive growth environment.

Willingness to continuously develop, understand industry best practices, and desire to stay ahead of the curve

Advanced knowledge of Excel and Google Sheets; comfortable building reports and tracking data

The expected salary range for this role is $117,007.00-$140,760.00. To determine starting pay we carefully consider a variety of factors, including primary work location and an evaluation of a candidate’s skills, experience, market demands, and internal parity. Additionally, salary is just one component of TRR’s total rewards package. Depending on role, employees may also be eligible for a bonus program, incentive pay and benefits.
