Skylo is a global Non-Terrestrial Network service provider based in Mountain View, CA, offering a service that allows smartphone and IoT cellular devices to connect directly over existing satellites. 

Skylo’s direct-to-device service is now live on millions of activated devices across five continents, with more than 60 million square kilometers of coverage, in partnership with multiple satellite operators, mobile network operators (MNOs), Tier-1 chipset makers, and OEMs. Devices connected over satellite are managed and served by Skylo's commercial NTN vRAN, featuring a 3GPP standards-based cloud-native base station and core. Skylo provides anywhere, anytime connectivity solution that seamlessly roams between terrestrial and satellite networks. Our focus is on enabling connected services for people outdoors and connected workflows across three main verticals: mass-market consumer devices, automotive, and industrial IoT.

This role is located in either Boston, MA or Mountain View, CA.  We are onsite in our Mountain View office 4-5 days per week.  In Boston, we have a more aggressive travel schedule and are in the office a bit less, approximately 2-3 days per week. 

Summary Of How You Will Impact Skylo

Skylo is hiring a Product Marketing and GTM leader to help fulfill Skylo’s vision of making satellite connectivity accessible to all. In this role, you will tactically run our product marketing efforts to scale for customer growth and ensure customer success.  You will also lead customer facing marketing engagement with prospects, newly onboarded customers, and existing relationships.  The leader in this role will direct all event collaborations with partners and standalone brand efforts.

How You Will Contribute 

  • Lead engagement with Skylo’s engineering team to build a clear understanding of upcoming features and benefits.  
  • Align on the launch schedules and feature prioritization to develop a messaging hierarchy.  Build presentations and marketing collateral to crisply communicate new features and benefits for partner discussions.
  • Lead company efforts to engage with customers through Carrier Partnerships and Strategic Partnerships teams to communicate upcoming launch priorities and develop plans to partner in bringing these enhancements to market.
  • Work with marketing team colleagues to consolidate marketing materials into appropriate presentations and deliver our marketing message to prospects and existing customers.
  • Develop workback schedules with engineering to plan and prioritize partner marketing engagement with customers.  
  • Translate voice of customer feedback to product and engineering teams to drive product roadmap enhancements.
  • Deliver partner enablement training for new features and capabilities.
  • Ensure a consistent Skylo Voice across all collateral, communications, creatives, etc.
  • Drive a robust planning and execution process around customer events and our industry trade show calendar.

What We Look For 

  • Ability to manage external vendors & partners for select activities on quick timelines while not being overly-reliant on agencies for creative development and execution  We act quickly and independently in a hands-on manner rather than outsourcing much of the work.  
  • Ability to synthesize complex topics into simple, easy to understand graphics & text.  Create collateral and high-level designs for presentations for sales enablement for B2B customers and their sales teams
  • Strong attention to detail including project management, copywriting, and video editing
  • Outcome-oriented -- focused on meeting timelines and deliverables
  • Able to thrive in a highly fluid go-to-market process.  We are developing the playbook, not running a playbook that has already been built.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to adapt in a highly fluid environment
  • Ability to understand global markets, create market specific execution plans, and work across time zones
  • Highly collaborative and a great team player.
  • Excellent writing, communication, content creation, video editing, and sales collateral development

Additional information

The compensation range for this position is: $125,000 - $165,000. This range reflects the low and high end of the range Skylo reasonably and generally expects to pay the hired candidate in this role.
