We are seeking a talented individual to join our team at Marsh. This role will be based in New York City. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.


As a global leader in insurance broking and risk management, Marsh helps clients succeed by defining, designing, and delivering innovative, industry-specific solutions to effectively manage risk. The Senior Manager – Product Development will play a critical role in the implementation and execution of Marsh’s largest and most impactful transformation to date, serving within Operations & Technology as part of the Placement & Policy Management (PPM) program.

We will count on you to:

  • Provide module ownership of PPM, leading the product roadmap and component strategy.
  • Lead product discovery exercises to identify end-user needs and curate demand in your digital product domain.
  • Develop and maintain a detailed product roadmap, including resources, scope, schedule, and dependencies.
  • Manage the conversion of high-level business requirements into detailed functional specifications and user stories.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with delivery partners, optimizing the value of the delivery team by prioritizing work against end-user needs and business objectives.

What you need to have:

  • 10+ years of experience as a Product Manager within a Digital Products Organization or related competency.
  • Experience in the insurance industry (broking and/or carrier) in a business/client-facing or operational role.
  • Proven track record of leading digital products or software solutions to meet business goals and enact organizational change with a mastery in digital product development within an Agile organization/structure.
  • Demonstrated competency in setting and meeting key performance indicators and business impacts.

  • SAFe® or comparable certification (e.g., Agile Product Manager, Lean Portfolio Manager).
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with a history of success in dynamic environments.
  • Domain experience in financial services, particularly in insurance, markets, or risk management.
  • Formal education in digital technology, software development, or related fields.
  • Experience with modern digital product management software such as Jira or Azure DevOps.

Marsh McLennan is committed to hybrid work, which includes the flexibility of working remotely and the collaboration, connections and professional development benefits of working together in the office. All Marsh McLennan colleagues are expected to be in their local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week. Office-based teams will identify at least one “anchor day” per week on which their full team will be together in person.


The applicable base salary range for this role is $91,800 to $195,800.

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
