The Sr Manager, Marketplace Commerce Strategy is responsible for establishing and managing how Veeam transacts through various marketplaces—including public cloud platforms, distributors, VARs (Value-Added Resellers), and other partners—and overseeing the integrations with these partners. The goal is to ensure our partners and customers can transact quickly and with minimal effort. This role involves collaborating closely with internal teams (corporate technology, channel programs, finance, operations, sales, R&D, pricing) and external stakeholders to streamline transaction processes and align technology solutions with Veeam’s strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop Transaction Strategies: Define and implement effective methods for Veeam to transact through different marketplaces and partner platforms.
- Oversee Partner Integrations: Manage integrations with public cloud marketplaces (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), distributors, VARs, and other partners to enable seamless transactions.
- Optimize Transaction Processes: Identify opportunities to streamline and automate transaction processes to reduce effort and increase efficiency for partners and customers.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with sales, marketing, finance, and technology teams to align on transaction and integration objectives.
- Define Business and Technical Requirements: Gather and articulate requirements for marketplace transactions and partner integrations.
- Lead Implementation Efforts: Oversee the execution of integration projects, ensuring they meet business needs and are delivered on schedule.
- Facilitate Business Transformation: Drive initiatives that enable new transaction capabilities and improve operational efficiency.
- Manage Change Effectively: Lead change management efforts to ensure smooth adoption of new transaction processes and integrations.
- Monitor and Report Progress: Track project milestones and deliverables, providing regular updates to executives and stakeholders.
- Resolve Issues: Act as the escalation point for any challenges related to marketplace transactions and partner integrations, ensuring timely resolution.
- Ensure Smooth Transition: Transition completed integration projects to operational teams for ongoing management.
- Design Reporting and Governance: Develop reporting and governance processes to provide insights into transaction performance across marketplaces and partners.

- Tool Expertise: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint, and project management software.
- Documentation Skills: Ability to create clear and detailed documentation for processes, requirements, and solutions.
- Data Analysis: Skilled in interpreting data, identifying trends, and deriving actionable insights.
Experience
- Professional Experience: At least 7 years in a technical leadership role focused on business operations, product management, or systems with an emphasis on transactions and integrations.
- Marketplace and Partner Experience: Proven experience working with public cloud marketplaces, distributors, VARs, and managing integrations with these partners.
- Business Acumen: Strong understanding of business processes related to quote-to-cash and transaction management.
- Global Collaboration: Experience collaborating with global teams across different functions.
- Channel Experience: Background in working with channel partners and service providers is highly desirable.
