Senior Manager Indirect Tax

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager, Indirect Tax to join our Corporate Finance Team. Reporting to the Associate Director, Indirect Tax, the role will play a crucial role in ensuring the company complies with all indirect tax regulations. 

This position will be responsible for managing the day-to-day VAT compliance function and its transformation to automation, including third party co-source as well as partnering with existing IT, Finance and other business teams in the areas of International VAT and Trade matters. Critical to this role is an understanding of the technical issues impacting tax compliance, including digital taxation, the ability to handle to answer to business day to day demands.
 

Responsibilities:

• Manage the preparation and submission of indirect tax returns (VAT, GST) in multiple jurisdictions globally.
• Ensure timely and accurate filing of all indirect tax returns to avoid penalties and interest.
• Provide guidance and support to various business units on indirect tax matters
• Work closely with the finance team to ensure correct tax reporting and follow-ups.
• Develop and implement best practices for indirect tax compliance and reporting processes.
• Lead and participate in projects to improve efficiency and effectiveness of indirect tax compliance.

• Identify and mitigate indirect tax risks, ensuring adequate controls are in place.
• Provide trainings to colleagues.
• Liaise with external advisors and consultants as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field;
• A post-graduate professional certification in Tax preferred
• 5-7 years of relevant professional experience. Ideally a combination of in house and big 4 consulting.
• Basic understanding of other finance compliance activities, such as statutory accounting and corporate tax compliance
• Fluent in English - written and spoken.
