McCain's Global Learning COE is part of the Global HR Team providing exceptional development experiences for McCainer's Globally to develop new skills and capabilities to be safe and effective in the roles and ready for future roles. The Senior Manager Learning Design & Development reports to the Director for Global Learning and leads a team of Learning Experience Designers and Learning Media Developers. Currently the team is focused on designing role-based skill development programs for teams in McCains manufacturing sites globally.
Accountabilities:
- Manages program and course design, development and production, including pedagogical thinking, flexible learning approaches and innovative digital technologies to shape new learning experiences.
- Collaborates with relationship managers, subject matter experts, business partners and senior stakeholders in conducting learning and performance needs analyses and identifying development gaps, objectives and priorities.
- Lead the design, development and implementation of blended learning solutions in collaboration with business partners, team members and vendors to deliver effective and efficient development solutions that enhance performance and engagement.
- Evaluate quality and effectiveness of development programs and provide recommendations and solutions for improvement.
- Implement measurement and evaluation strategies to measure program effectiveness and business impact.
- Maintains new and ongoing relationships with external vendors and networks to ensure currency and relevancy of training industry trends and best practices, leverages knowledge to implement solutions to improve/enhance strategies, programs and processes.
- Manages the application of innovative strategies for products for diverse learner cohorts.
- Advocates and champions, the learning operating model across McCain Globally and within the Global HR. Proactively contributes to the transformation of the learning operating model, with the aim of creating a globally integrated function that is scalable, flexible, efficient and effective.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in a similar role, managing a team and ideally bringing global experience
- Demonstrated ability to draw upon new and emerging technologies and practice for the effective application of innovative use of tools and learning and assessment pedagogies.
- Highly developed interpersonal and relationship management skills.
- Demonstrated experience in leading high performing teams and managing performance of team members.
- Demonstrated outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and work as part of a diverse team and liaise and negotiate with a range of people to achieve agreed outcomes and reconcile different views.
- Demonstrated experience in leading teams, mentoring and training teams encouraging 'agile' mindset and best practice outcomes.
- Demonstrated experience of effectively leading and project managing complex education based projects and programs with significant change impact in organisational operational excellence.
- Experience in the creation and implementation of effective blended learning design frameworks.
- Experience leveraging ADDIE and SAM development frameworks.
- Demonstrated experience with implementing quality learning design processes to enhance learner experience.

Compensation Package : $107,600.00 - $143,500.00 CAD annually + bonus eligibility
The above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting. Hiring compensation will be determined based on experience, skill set, education/training, and other organizational needs.
