About the role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Senior Manager of Global Events to join our dynamic marketing team. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and evaluating a wide range of events, including conferences, webinars, trade shows, and internal team-building activities. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and product development, to ensure successful event outcomes that align with company objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Event Planning & Execution:
- Develop comprehensive event plans, including budget management, logistics, and timelines.
- Source and negotiate with vendors (venues, caterers, AV, etc.).
- Manage on-site event logistics, including registration, check-in, and attendee support.
- Oversee event setup and breakdown.
- Ensure all event materials (brochures, signage, presentations) are prepared and distributed on time.
- Event Marketing & Promotion:
- Develop and implement marketing campaigns to promote events to target audiences.
- Utilize various marketing channels, including email, social media, and digital advertising.
- Track and analyze event registration and attendance data.
- Event Measurement & Analysis:
- Collect and analyze data on event performance, including attendee engagement, lead generation, and ROI.
- Prepare post-event reports and presentations for internal stakeholders.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve event effectiveness and efficiency.
- Budget Management:
- Develop and manage event budgets within allocated constraints.
- Negotiate favorable rates with vendors and track expenses meticulously.
- Teamwork & Collaboration:
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, product development, and executive leadership.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with industry partners and vendors.
- Stay Updated:
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in event planning and execution.
- Attend industry conferences and workshops to expand knowledge and network.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Event Management, or a related field.
- 10 years of experience in event planning and execution.
- Proven track record of successfully planning and executing a variety of events, including conferences, webinars, and trade shows.
- Excellent project management, organizational, and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM systems.
- Experience with event management software (e.g., Cvent, Eventbrite) is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Passion for the technology industry is a plus.
The US OTE compensation range for this full-time position is $159,700 - $183,700 + benefits + 401(k) match + equity. The pay range is determined by the role, work location, job-related skills, level, experience and relevant education. The range displayed is applicable only for new hires for the listed position located in the US. Your total compensation package will be based on job-related knowledge, education, certifications and location, per our aligned ranges.
