Job Purpose
Ultimate responsibility is to develop a compelling customer value proposition for the Forex business, ensuring the overall health and lifecycle of Forex and Trade business. The role includes market and competitor research and analysis, creating a competitive Customer Value Proposition (CVP) to ensure Bidvest Bank is competitive.
Provide leadership in the execution of the following core strategic pillars, working with relevant direct reports, departments, and other stakeholders:
• Product design (features / benefits / differentiation)
• Marketing (route to market / marketing activities / messaging / sales channels)
• Finance (viability / pricing / financial health / profitability / cost control)
• Technology (innovation / automation / simplicity / best use)
• Process (customer engagement and journey / internal process improvement)
• People (stakeholder engagement / influencer / negotiations)
Further ensure that Forex and Trade clients (corporate and individuals), vendor and/or supplier formal arrangements (agreements) are established and in place and review continuously to cater for prospective/new products, corridors, and benefits.
Develop and/or enhance Forex and Trade products and solutions by following established bank governance processes for new product development and enhancements.
Negotiate, implement and monitoring of product SLAs with vendors.
Qualifications and Experience
• Minimum Qualification – Postgraduate qualification in Commerce
• 10+ years in banking
• 7+ years in management role
• Previous banking product management experience
Responsibilities include but not limited too:
• Good understanding of payments technologies for Forex and Trade businesses.
• Good understanding of Remittance business and SARB and other regulatory requirements.
• Expert knowledge of Forex value chain and landscape.
• Ability to explain relevant Payments and Forex technical aspects to clients.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret legal documents and agreements.
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Ability to manage organizational change.
• Exposure to MS SharePoint
• Microsoft skills
• Time management skills
