Senior Manager, Finance Operations - Accommodations

Priceline is looking for an experienced Senior Manager, Finance Operations to effectively lead a key component of the Hotels A/P team, and evolve this global function to meet the needs of our rapidly growing and dynamic business. This person will join our finance team and be responsible for all aspects of the Accommodations Operations function supporting a global portfolio. This includes ensuring that all partner transactions are reconciled in the finance systems in a smooth, accurate, and timely fashion, and that payments are issued on time, to comply with industry standards. You will be responsible for gaining knowledge of the travel industry, specifically Hotel booking and back-office reconciliation processes and requirements. In addition, the Senior Manager can apply knowledge and experience to issues that have not been previously encountered to determine effective solutions.
In this role you will get to:

Lead an offshore organization and an onshore team responsible for daily Hotel Vendor Reconciliation processes including regular weekly & monthly operational reporting (measured by Key Performance Indicators)

Ensure the payment requests derived from reconciliations are monitored to protect operations and meet Sox requirements.

Collaborate with FinTech, Accounts Payable and other departments to ensure high volume transactional invoices are reconciled and paid timely.

Review Transactional Accounts Payable Aging reports to ensure accuracy and action as needed.

Lead onboarding activities for new Hotel suppliers.

Be a People Leader, guiding multiple teams to achieve the mutual goal of global expansion and reconciliation optimization

Raise, track, and manage JIRA Tickets for all discrepancies, issues, and unreconciled transactions, measured by Key Performance Indicators

Analyze large quantities of data and develop dashboards to gain insights and monitoring

Identify and measure conformance to Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Controls and operationalize improvements to the models

Act as our primary operations project focal for the new complex and/or high impact initiatives

Review and assess financial impacts with a cross-functional team, and design new financial processes that meet audit standards while optimizing the efficiency and accuracy of the processes involved

Ensure subledger and General Ledger accounts for Hotel transactions are reconciled and certified monthly, and trends are investigated, explained, and appropriate action taken

Identify patterns and help the team find the root cause of issues
Who you are:

Have a minimum of 5 years of financial operations, accounts payable, and/or accounting experience with progressive growth in responsibilities.

Have a minimum of 3 years of team leadership with multiple direct reports and a proven ability to manage and guide teams to achieve goals.

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent related professional experience, Master’s Degree in Business preferred

Have strong written and verbal communication skills and proven success with effective leadership of a financial operations team

Strong team developer and talent coach who thrives with developing their teams

Ability to work flexible hours to align with our Global Partners as necessary

Have experience working in the Travel Agency industry, preferably with hotels

Experience working in and explaining issues to cross-functional teams with various and diverse institutional knowledge and focus

There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. In addition to a competitive base salary, certain roles may be eligible for an annual bonus and/or equity grant. The salary range for this position is $110,000- $145,000K USD.
