YOUR IMPACT
Redwood Software delivers powerful automation solutions that simplify and accelerate core business and IT processes for some of the world’s largest organizations. Our Finance Automation products enable enterprises to streamline mission-critical financial operations, reduce manual effort, ensure compliance, and achieve faster close cycles through intelligent automation.
We are looking for a Senior Manager of Engineering to lead a team of talented engineers working on Redwood’s Finance Automation solution, which is one of the fastest growing business lines at Redwood. In this role, you will drive technical delivery, scale development processes, and ensure high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced SaaS environment. You’ll partner closely with Product and cross-functional teams to deliver features that improve financial automation workflows for our enterprise customers.
You’ll be responsible for both technical direction and people leadership, ensuring the team has the support, clarity, and tools needed to thrive.
-
Lead one or more cross-functional engineering teams building Finance Automation features and services.
-
Drive execution of the product roadmap, ensuring high-quality, secure, and scalable delivery.
-
Act as a hands-on technical leader, guiding design and architecture decisions where needed.
-
Collaborate with Product, QA, and DevOps to define sprint goals, deliverables, and release timelines.
-
Foster a strong engineering culture focused on continuous improvement, ownership, and accountability.
-
Mentor and grow engineers through regular 1:1s, career development planning, and technical coaching.
-
Support Agile processes and help the team improve velocity and product quality through well-managed sprints.
-
Advocate for operational excellence, observability, and automation in software development practices.
-
Ensure services are built with security, reliability, and performance in mind — especially in cloud-native environments.
-
Work cross-functionally to resolve dependencies, align with broader product strategy, and address customer feedback.
YOUR EXPERIENCE
-
7+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 2+ years in a people management or technical leadership role.
-
Strong experience building enterprise SaaS products, ideally in finance, automation, or workflow-related domains.
-
Proficiency in backend development (e.g., Java or similar languages), RESTful APIs, and integration services.
-
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure, and cloud-native architecture principles.
-
Understanding of financial operations, ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), or compliance-driven workflows is a plus.
-
Track record of delivering high-quality software in Agile environments, using tools such as JIRA, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
-
Excellent communication and collaboration skills; able to work effectively with remote, cross-functional teams.
-
Strong organizational skills with a bias for action and results.
Nice to Have
-
Background in ERP automation, financial process automation, workload automation, or RPA technologies.
-
Familiarity with accounting concepts or integrations with financial systems.
-
Experience working in regulated environments (SOX, GDPR, etc.).
If you like growth and working with happy, enthusiastic over-achievers, you'll enjoy your career with us!
