Job Description

The Senior Manager, Education will spearhead the development and execution of training and coaching strategies aimed at enhancing business performance and ensuring adherence to the Maison’s standards of excellence. The primary focus will be on delivering a superior client experience. This role involves leading and organizing special events to boost retail sales in both beauty and fragrance categories.

Key responsibilities include overseeing the training and coaching of Guerlain staff within the geographic region extending from Washington DC to Boston. The manager will ensure consistency and high performance by leading a team of three regional training and event coordinators. Regular travel and in-store visibility are essential components of this role.

Based in New York City, the Senior Manager, Education will be tasked with developing and disseminating comprehensive product and company knowledge to all employees. Additionally, they will manage and execute the implementation of all training-related programs and materials, as well as develop and implement special events to drive retail sales in both beauty and fragrance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and Implement USA Education Strategy: Create and execute a comprehensive education strategy tailored to the USA market in partnership with VP Education & Eventing and Global Training Team.
  • Content Adaptation: Customize HQ education content to align with the USA market.
  • Training Seminars: Plan, manage, and execute all training seminars associated with North-East Region.
  • Training and Coaching: Provide training and coaching to Guerlain staff across the North-East region, spanning from Washington DC to Boston with an in-depth focus of New York Flagships.
  • Expertise Development: Establish expertise levels for Guerlain Beauty Consultants (BC).
  • Eventing:
    • Masterclasses: Lead and execute both digital and in-store masterclasses within the North East in partnership with marketing and digital teams.
    • Retail Excellence: Drive retail excellence tailored to each partner and retailer.
    • Experiential Strategy: Support the elevation and refinement of experiential strategies and tools for events.
  • Reporting and Analysis: 
    • Develop reports to measure the ROI and business impact of the education and events strategy.
    • Event Recap and Optimization: Assist in recapping events to identify learnings and optimizations for future planning.
  • Budget: Ensure all local market training needs are met within budgetary constraints.
  • Team Management: Oversee and develop a team of three Regional Education & Events Coordinators.
  • Additional Responsibilities: 
    • Managing performance of a team of 3 Regional Training and Events Coordinators.
    • Meeting and/or exceeding sales and training and events goals set by Head of Client Experience.
    • Following Corporate guidelines, maintain T/E expenses within budget provided.
    • Perform all other job-related activities as required.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in prestige cosmetics sales and education
  • Excellent communicator in English – both verbal & written
  • Proficient in Powert Point and Excel
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Strong product knowledge
  • Strong Coaching Skills, Self-Motivated, and a Team Player
  • New York office based; 50% travel

LVMH Inc. uses the published salary range as a guideline to provide our employees with market competitive pay while allowing for flexibility to recognize and reward various levels of expertise, performance, and tenure.

While the published salary range is a good faith reflection of the targeted salary level for the position, LVMH Inc. reserves the right to pay outside of the published range of $110,000-$120,000.
