Senior Manager – Graphic Design & Video Production

MMGS is a global knowledge centre for Marsh McLennan and houses teams that work closely with colleagues across various operating units and locations. The Knowledge Services function under MMGS aims to provide specialized services in the domains of research, consulting, data analytics, data science, actuarial, and design.

The expectation from the incumbent is to present artefacts in the most compelling and aesthetic manner, with a specialized focus on context-driven visualization on corporate presentations for sales enablement and growth, senior leadership strategy and client meetings, driving understanding of technical concepts etc. Overall, pushing the boundaries of creative ideation and building lasting relationships with stakeholders, while managing delivery expectations effectively will be the key to long term success in this role.

We will count on you to:

Primarily work with the MMGS team to help them develop print reports, presentations (static or interactive) and video-based collaterals for key stakeholders - internal use and for external clients. Ensuring the right design for effective communication to appropriate audiences.

Additionally, provide timely design support to MMGS leaders to develop their growth strategy and the visualization of their value proposition collaterals that are both functional and aesthetically designed.

Prior experience working with senior leaders to develop their key messaging and storytelling through Print design, document production, videos, and other multimedia / digital solutions for leadership strategy and sales support will be an advantage.

The MMGS team is also looking to produce a digital assets such as video or interactive hosted solutions to showcase recent client wins and the value proposition of bespoke MMGS solutions. These videos could include editing leadership recordings, usage of stock clips with appropriate sound editing, or graphics and character animation videos.

Serve in a consultative capacity to stakeholders and as a subject matter expert on design and branding. Result orientation is essential to understand the needs of the clients and conceptualize designs around it.

Walk the fine balance between creative ideation and timely delivery, while maintaining corporate brand standards.

Assimilate business content and convert it into infographics through strong Data Visualization. Provide alternate information-driven data representations - Reimagine basic graphics/ pie charts/ bar graphs to elevate visual representations and reduce cognitive load for audiences.

Incorporation of interactive and rich multimedia elements within artefacts to push the boundaries of traditional design.

Possess excellent attention to detail and create accurate outputs.

To be dynamic and effectively switch between projects to meet business priorities.

Excellent team player – be able to build collaborative working relationships with MMGS stakeholders and with the other team members within the Knowledge Services and the design function.
What you need to have:
-
A graduate degree or certification in Fine Arts / Applied Arts, with at least a basic level of video specialization (could be through additional certifications).

10 to 15 years hands-on-experience in a Design team within a corporate environment.

Possess prior experience of working in a Consulting / SSC / Financial Services set up, with the agile ability to keep pace with a dynamic corporate environment.

Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud/Creative Suite, especially InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop - Print design experience across outputs of different types like Brochures, Thought Leadership Reports, Posters, Newsletters, Interactive document production, stand-alone Infographics, emailers, design of digital colleague and client experience artefacts etc.

MS Office Proficiency - Experience working on corporate presentations, design of sales documents, design of email communications / Newsletters, data dashboards for leadership reviews, etc.
- Expectation on Presentation design will extend beyond basic formatting, to a more extensive design transformation of content (static and interactive decks) starting with basic understanding of business concepts. -
Knowledge of Video Production programs such as:

Adobe Creative Suite Video Editing Software (Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere, Adobe Animate), to add music, graphics, animation, and to develop, edit and upload/manage video content.

Prior experience on alternate tools/platforms such as Final Cut Pro, Tumult Hype, AVID, etc. is also acceptable if you can transition across video production platforms.

Adobe Audition for Sound editing. Knowledge of alternate sound editing software like Audacity, Soundforge etc. would also work.

Knowledge of industry standard Plug-ins & Effects Libraries, typography skills for text-based animations and well versed in the best practices for optimal rendering / hosting video outputs, on the organizations permitted platforms.

Strong foundational knowledge of typography, branding, and industry best practices. The incumbent should keep well informed of the latest trends and styles used on video outputs produced amongst other similar corporate set-ups.

Communication Skills - be able to articulate design choices and concepts and communicate effectively with stakeholders across levels both verbally and in writing
What makes you stand out?

Front-end Web Design experience with robust knowledge of User-Interface (UI) concepts

Prior experience working on CMS platforms such as SharePoint, Adobe Experience Manager, Sitecore etc. would be advantageous for this role.

Understating of insurance and risk management – Ability to incorporate basic business understanding while curating content will make you a strong ally for business leaders.

Workflow management / project management experience - Hands on experience on planning / design delivery/ project management within an internal team environment.
