Job Description
Join Takeda as a Senior Manager, Dermatology Customer Insights out of our Cambridge, MA Office. Where you will be responsible for consulting with our Dermatology Brand Team as a strategic partner in achieving competitive leadership for a new product launch. The role will be leading, creating and delivering integrated insights across multiple sources. You will also initiate and lead market research and competitive intelligence work with outside partners. You will also create cross-source insights, recommendations and alignment for action, develop competitive landscape analysis, business need understanding, and
knowledge gap identification. You will communicate those integrated insights to relevant stakeholders with urgency and leverage data and specialty expertise in Competitive Intelligence and primary market research as a subject matter expert in brand planning.
How you will contribute:
- Collaboratively prioritize and build an integrated primary market research plan for at least one stakeholder (Patient, HCPs, Payer).
- Provide oversight and accountability on all processes related to procurement,
vendors, compliance, pharmacovigilance and budget management activities in execution of each research program. Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of quality, comprehensiveness, and timeliness of all process outputs. - Responsible for maintaining and tracking learning/training, compliance and safety programs
- Set and provide clear direction in methods, recommendations and secure
stakeholders buy-in. - Develop and manage expectations, highlighting and resolving issues and ensuring regular communication of processes enhancements.
- Proactively identifies methods to improve efficiency and quality with respect to Project Planning and Management within GIBU, and influence via leadership
across global peers. - Proactively develops and implements new and innovative solutions to meet
business needs and resolve business issues. - Build internal stakeholder relationships from a variety of groups (i.e. marketing, sales, data systems, procurement, global)
- Proactively identifies strategic and tactical CI needs for relevant products
- Collaboratively prioritizes and builds a CI plan (KITs, KIQs), integrated with PMR, Analytics and cross-functional teams.
- Aligns, monitors and reports on team-specific project delivery, expenses, and other insights operation metrics.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- B.A./B.S. Scientific or commercial education required; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of insights experience required, with at least 2 years of experience within the pharmaceutical/biotech industry.
- Previous launch experience preferred.
- Demonstrated market research experience, particularly pharmaceuticals and across quantitative and qualitative research methodologies required.
- Demonstrated leadership skills working in matrix teams, influencing outcomes in strategic and tactical decisions, specific to marketing in specialty pharmaceuticals required
- Proven ability to communicate, strategize and collaborate effectively with senior management required.
- Experience in Competitive Intelligence and Market Research preferred
- Familiarity / experience working in the immunology space is preferred
- Travel Requirement- Able to drive to or fly to various meeting , up to 10%. Some international travel maybe required.
- Advanced knowledge of best practices and leadership in specialty pharmaceutical
commercial business operations, and the use of market research and CI to drive decision-making in commercial strategy and tactics to achieve a leadership position. - Demonstrated leadership in synthesis of primary and secondary market research,
forecasting impact, competitive intelligence, and data management to advise the
development and execution of pharmaceutical strategy - Able to lead in a matrix-working culture
- Proven ability to negotiate and influence in a consultative role
- Proactive ability to effectively monitor competitive activity, predict probable issues and problem solve (scenario planning)
- Proven consultative influence, communication and presentation skills - organizational, written and verbal
- Expertise in CI research methods as they pertain to integration with specialty
pharmaceutical data sources for strategic recommendations - Expertise in market research methods, study design, and interpretation to stakeholders• History of managing multiple tasks of varied complexity simultaneously• Proven advanced skills in utilizing Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Word

U.S. Base Salary Range:
$133,000.00 - $209,000.00
The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or long-term incentives. U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S. based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
