Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, the Senior Manager, Demand Generation is responsible for overseeing and guiding a team of demand generation program managers and business development representatives to develop and execute strategies that drive awareness, interest, and engagement with Availity’s target audiences – generating leads, pipeline and revenue. In this leadership position, the individual will be responsible for setting the overall direction, goals and priorities for demand generation efforts, as well as providing guidance, support and mentorship to their direct reports.
The Senior Manager, Demand Generation plays a critical role in driving the success of the demand generation function within Availity, ensuring that teams are aligned, motivated, and equipped to deliver on key business objectives related to lead generation, pipeline development and revenue growth. This position requires strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, analytical skills, and a deep understanding of demand generation principles and best practices.

To be qualified for this position you:
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (master’s degree preferred but not necessary).
- 7+ years of experience in marketing with a focus on demand generation, lead generation, digital marketing, or related areas.
- Prior experience in a leadership role, managing teams, and overseeing demand generation programs.
- Healthcare industry experience preferred.
- Strong leadership skills, including the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop a high-performing team – as well as the capacity to set strategic direction, prioritize initiatives and drive results.
- Strategic mindset, with the ability to develop and communicate a clear vision for demand gen efforts, aligning them with broader business objectives and market trends.
- Proficiency in data analysis, performance measurement, and using insights to optimize campaigns and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with internal stakeholders, senior leadership and external partners.
- Proven track record of working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including sales, product marketing, content marketing and others, to achieve shared goals.
- Familiarity with marketing technology tools and platforms, such as marketing automation, analytics tools, revenue attribution software, etc.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and adapt to changing priorities, market conditions and business needs.
- Results-oriented; demonstrated success in driving lead generation, pipeline growth, and revenue through demand generation initiatives.

You will be:
- Developing and communicating a clear vision and strategy for demand generation activities, aligning them with broader marketing, sales and Availity business objectives.
- Leading, coaching and mentoring a team of demand generation program managers and business development representatives (BDRs) – setting goals, providing feedback, and fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
- Overseeing the planning, execution and optimization of demand generation programs and campaigns, ensuring they are targeted, integrated, and impactful across various channels.
- Working closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, business development reps (BDRs), product marketing, content marketing, and others to ensure alignment and effectiveness of demand generation strategies.
- Establishing key performance metrics, tracking the effectiveness of demand generation activities, and using data-driven insights to optimize programs for maximum impact and ROI.
- Managing the demand generation budget, allocating resources effectively, and ensuring that spending both aligns with strategic priorities and delivers measurable results.
- Evaluating, implementing and optimizing marketing technology tools and platforms that support demand generation efforts – such as intent tools, revenue attribution solutions, and more.
- Providing ongoing training, development and support to team members to enhance their skills, knowledge and expertise in demand generation best practices.
- Staying informed about industry trends, client preferences, competitive landscape, buyer personas / buyer journey, to inform strategic decision-making and drive innovation in demand generation tactics
- Providing regular updates and reports to senior management on the performance and return of demand generation initiatives, highlighting successes, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
