ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a dynamic and hands-on Senior Analytics Manager (Player/Coach) to lead and manage analytics projects across multiple departments while actively participating in data analysis and reporting. This role requires a leader with strong analytics architectural acumen, experience with modern data stacks and cloud warehousing, and a mindset for innovation. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in evolving GILLIG’s analytics ecosystem into a world-class capability that drives significant business impact. By delivering actionable insights and fostering a data-driven culture, this role will fuel strategic decision-making and operational excellence across the organization.
This position requires a deep understanding of data architecture, data governance, and both on-premises and cloud-based data solutions. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in sourcing data from internal and external sources, including ERP systems, and implementing comprehensive data models that drive a single source of truth. They should also be proficient in selecting and deploying analytics and business intelligence tools, and promoting data literacy to generate new insights across the enterprise. The role demands a strong blend of analytical and technical skills to design, implement, and manage a robust data infrastructure that supports advanced analytics and reporting needs across the business.
IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL
- Lead and execute strategic initiatives that align with organizational objectives and drive business transformation
- Develop a roadmap for scaling analytics capabilities to support the company’s strategic growth
- Actively participate in data analysis, developing dashboards, reports, and visualizations
- Work closely with departmental leaders to understand and address their analytics needs
- Influence and drive the adoption of data-driven decision-making across the organization
- Design and implement data architecture to support analytics initiatives
- Develop and drive data integration and reporting requirements for on-premises and cloud-based data stores into a robust Analytics Platform
- Leverage modern data stack tools such as DBT or equivalent scripting for data transformation
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance data accuracy, efficiency, and quality
- Develop a plan for scaling the internal analytics team as the department grows
- Mentor and develop a high-performing analytics team, transitioning from a player/coach model to a full leadership role, ensuring skill development, team cohesion, and operational excellence
- Develop and implement data governance policies and data privacy regulations
- Explore and champion the integration of advanced analytics, tools, and methodologies including ML and AI solutions to augment analytics capabilities
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field. Master’s degree or MBA preferred
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in data analytics, with at least 4 years in a managerial or team leadership role
- Demonstrated proven ability to track build and scale analytics functions, including implementing analytics strategies, data infrastructure, and leading successful analytics projects and teams, with hands-on experience in data analysis
- Strong experience in data architecture, ERP data integration, and reporting
- Demonstrated experience with modern data stack and cloud warehousing
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python, R)
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
- Familiarity with data warehousing, analytic engineering, and ETL processes, including cloud-based solutions (Talend, Glue, Airflow, DBT)
- Expertise in building and managing data warehouses or lake houses, with a focus on hybrid architecture of both on-premises to cloud-based data stores
- Understanding of data governance and compliance standards
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to translate complex data insights into actionable business recommendations
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
- Innovative mindset, with a focus on integrating ML and AI solutions

EXPECTED COMPENSATION
$75,000 - $220,000/annual salary + bonus + premium benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job classification, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
