Job Summary:
The Senior Manager, Configuration is responsible for providing leadership and direction to ensure the goals and strategies of the department are successfully achieved.
Essential Functions:
- Provide leadership, vision, management goals, priorities, metrics, measures, recognition, and discipline to direct reports
- Responsible for effective identification of business problems, assessment of proposed solutions to those problems, and understanding of the needs of business partners
- Partner with cross functional leadership and vendors to achieve departmental and enterprise goals
- Ensure team is adhering to all corporate compliance policies and provide direction and support for the timely resolution of escalated or complex issues
- Manage end to end configuration project implementations
- Develop and drive automation capabilities to reduce manual effort
- Drive continuous improvement to improve efficiencies and standards
- Work and maintain resource plan to ensure department is staffed correctly and monitor team productivity
- Provide training and ensure team have the tools and knowledge to perform their job effectively
- Provide feedback routinely to leads/managers and team members to positively enforce good decisions and work accomplishments
- Define initiatives including business requirements gathering, project scope definition, project staffing requirements, documentation, reporting strategy, and change management process
- Implement opportunities for process improvement that impact operations, performance, and quality
- Track production issues and status to ensure proper follow-up and coordination
- Maintain project plans for all projects in which configuration is involved and ensure proper completion of those plans and escalation where timeframes will be changed
- Attend meetings and ensure configuration is implemented in a timely manner
- Develop and implement ticket controls and ensure that proper communication and approvals are in place prior to system implementation
- Escalate vendor management related issues to appropriate internal resources for resolution
- Oversee and accountable for the timely delivery of all regulatory based configuration related changes
- Participate in strategic planning and implement action plans
- Collaborate with team leads on effective people management strategies such as staffing, coaching, and mentoring
- Escalate to senior management any area of significant resource contention along with recommendations for resolution
- Perform any other job duties as requested
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience is required
- Minimum of seven (7) years of health plan business or systems solutions experience is required
- Minimum five (5) years of health plan business or healthcare experience is required
- Minimum of three (3) years of management experience is required
- Facets configuration experience is required
- Extensive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is required

- Advanced computer skills and abilities in Facets
- Strong leadership, management skills and project management skills
- Strong SQL and reporting skills
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite to include, Word, Excel, and Access
- High level of programming and systems development knowledge
- Knowledge of regulatory reporting and compliance requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent listening and critical thinking skills
- Ability to be innovative and resourceful in problem resolution
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product and technical challenges from an enterprise perspective
- Knowledge of implementing enterprise level processes
- Strong interpersonal skills and high level of professionalism
- Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of management
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Ability to develop, prioritize and accomplish goals
Licensure and Certification:
- Certified Professional Coder is preferred
Working Conditions:
- General office environment; may be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time
Compensation Range:
$108,600.00 - $190,000.00
