About the Role

Dandy is seeking a highly skilled Director, Compensation to refine and lead our compensation strategies. This role demands an expert in compensation management who can both execute day-to-day responsibilities and contribute strategically to high-impact projects. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring our compensation practices are competitive, equitable, and aligned with our company goals. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of our compensation infrastructure and collaborate closely with executive leadership.

What You'll Do

  • Day-to-Day Compensation Management: Oversee and manage all aspects of compensation administration, including benchmarking new roles and addressing inbound requests.Ensure accurate and fair compensation practices across all levels of the organization.

  • Mid-Sized Compensation Projects: Lead and execute compensation-related projects such as market re-benchmarking, equity reporting, and resolving compensation challenges. Develop innovative solutions to attract and retain top talent, including geo-specific and emerging talent strategies.

  • Large-Scale Projects: Partner with the Head of People Operations and Head of People to drive and implement large-scale compensation initiatives, including bonus programs and continuous comp enablement. Collaborate with leaders, managers, HR, and Recruiting to ensure effective execution and adoption of compensation strategies.

  • Data Analysis, Reporting, and Industry Trends: Analyze compensation data and market trends to provide actionable insights and recommendations for adjustments. Monitor industry trends, especially in strategic hiring areas, to ensure our compensation packages remain competitive.

  • Annual Compensation Process: Oversee the annual compensation review process, including salary adjustments and bonus payouts, ensuring a transparent and equitable approach aligned with company policies and goals.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience: Proven experience in Compensation and Benefits management, with a strong background in designing and managing compensation, equity, and benefits programs for fast-growing companies. We are specifically looking for a candidate who has worked at an organization with a strong population of both hourly and salaried employees.

  • Strategic and Operational Expertise: Ability to handle day-to-day compensation tasks while actively participating in strategic conversations with senior leadership. Demonstrated experience in making informed trade-offs and managing complex compensation issues.

  • Analytical Skills: Strong modeling and data analysis skills with a high attention to detail. Experience in managing compensation within HRIS or payroll systems.

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex compensation concepts to various stakeholders.

  • Project Management: Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with a track record of executing on compensation projects and initiatives.

  • Passion for Growth: Someone eager to play a key role in developing a more mature compensation infrastructure. You'll be building and enhancing systems from a solid foundation, and your work will directly impact our growth trajectory.

  • Leadership Engagement: A desire to engage with and influence the executive team, including Co-founders and Head of Finance, while gaining valuable insight into high-level decision-making processes.
