This is a hybrid role based out of our office in Loveland, CO.

The Target Pay Range for this position is $134,000 - $167,300 annually. At Antech, pay decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, education, training, and budget.

Job Purpose/Overview

The Mars Petcare Division, Science & Diagnostics, is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager of Cloud Services to lead our cloud infrastructure team and oversee the management, deployment, and optimization of cloud solutions. This role requires a strong technical background, strategic thinking, and leadership ability to manage our cloud architecture, ensure high performance, scalability, and security, and drive innovation in cloud technologies. The Senior Manager of Cloud Services will work closely with cross-functional teams to align cloud solutions with business objectives, deliver cost-effective and reliable services, and enhance the overall cloud strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cloud Infrastructure Management: Lead the design, deployment, and management of scalable, secure, and high-performing cloud infrastructure across multiple cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP, etc.).
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of cloud engineers and architects, both employees and vendor staff augmentation, ensuring professional growth, collaboration, and high-quality service delivery.
  • Cloud Strategy Development: Develop and execute the company’s cloud strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals, improving operational efficiency, and driving cost optimization.
  • Cloud Security & Compliance: Ensure that cloud systems meet the highest standards of security, compliance, and governance. Lead efforts to monitor, assess, and mitigate security risks within the cloud environment.
  • Cost Management & Optimization: Oversee cloud cost management, monitoring usage, forecasting, and identifying opportunities for optimization to ensure cost efficiency.
  • Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity: Develop and implement cloud disaster recovery plans and business continuity strategies to minimize downtime and data loss.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with product, engineering, and operations teams to design and implement cloud solutions that support company-wide initiatives.
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with cloud service providers and third-party vendors, negotiating contracts, service-level agreements (SLAs), and ensuring optimal service delivery.
  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Implement and maintain monitoring systems to track cloud performance, reliability, and availability, and report on key metrics to senior leadership.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies, best practices, and industry trends. Promote innovation and continuous improvement within the cloud environment.

Experience & Qualifications

  • B.S. or higher in Computer Science or related field
  • 7+ Years of experience in Cloud Services
  • 2+ Years of experience with Leading a cloud team
  • Hands-on experience with major cloud platforms

Important characteristics/experience

  • Strong understanding of Cloud Architecture, networking, security and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Proven track record managing Cloud environments for large-scale applications
  • Experience with DevOps tools and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, mentoring, and communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to troubleshooting and issue resolution
  • Knowledge of cloud cost management tools and practices
  • Strong understanding of cloud security principles and best practices
  • Experience with cloud-based disaster recovery and high-availability architecture
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to align technical solutions with business goals
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
