Job Description
Senior Manager; ACE Insights & Analytics
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Global Insights & Analytics team within Kite Pharma, a Gilead company, for a Senior Manager, supporting the ACE region.
The candidate should have 4+ years experience of forecasting, analytics and market research within the pharmaceutical industry.
As Senior Manager ACE Insights & Analytics you will have a critical role in forecasting, analytics and market research across the ACE region within the exciting, specialised and rapidly expanding area of CAR T cell therapy within Oncology.
You will support affiliates through forecasting cycles, helping to embed tools and processes, ensuring all country level and regional insights and intel are pulled through in to forecasts and in the roll up, scenario analysis and representation of Regional forecasts to ACE Senior Leadership. You will have a key role in tracking and informing on ACE business performance and in driving continuous improvement and automation of all KPI reporting. You will identify business information needs and supplement Global market research plans with ACE specific research projects plans and project delivery. As well as developing close working relationships with ACE affiliates, you will work collaboratively with other key stakeholders within Commercial Operations, Marketing, Finance, Market Access as the business needs demand. This role will report into the ACE Insights & Analytics Lead and will be based in Stockley Park.

Specific Job Requirements
Forecasting & Analytics
- Develop and maintain mid / long-term forecast models and forecasts for ACE, consolidating across the region during the LE forecasting cycles.
- In partnership with the ACE Kite team produce forecasting guidance and assumption materials, reviews and challenges affiliates’ assumptions during the LE process, running scenarios and providing insight and analysis to develop material for presentation to Senior Leadership.
- Develops insights and prepares material for ACE quarterly earnings briefing, Quarterly and Monthly Business Reviews.
- Track product performance and synthesize insights to inform marketing and sales decision making
- Maintain and publish KPI decks and dashboards for tracking product performance
- Refine and drive continuous improvement and automation of all KPI reporting as Kite Cell Therapy Business continues to expand
- Synthesize market dynamics to identify potential drivers impacting performance and develop communications materials to inform marketing and sales decisions
- Support Global Insights & Analytics partners as the ACE point of contact for the Demand planning process
Market Research
- Works closely with the Kite cross-functional teams to develop forward-looking market research plans for ACE based on key business needs.
- Independently leads projects, coordinating input from the cross-functional team to scope, design and manage the execution of qualitative and quantitative market research studies.
- Selects the appropriate market research agencies through a rigorous ‘Request for Proposal’ process and ensures delivery to time, quality and budget.
- Collaborates with primary and secondary market research agencies to collect data and develop insights to inform market understanding, business decisions, analytics and forecasting.
- Inform forecast assumptions by executing conjoint demand study and other demand estimation related research
- Interprets market research outputs and effectively communicates the results to a range of internal stakeholders at all levels of the organization, ensuring insights are actionable, impactful and reach a wide audience.
- Works with the Kite team to understand the implications of market research insights for the business and supports the team to develop and establish strategic plans and objectives.
- Works together with affiliate and Global teams to align deliverables and avoid duplication and to ensure all affiliate conducted market research is pulled through and shared appropriately with Global Stakeholders.
- Anticipates upcoming business questions and ensures that Insights & Analytics inputs are planned and provided on a timely basis.
- Works closely with colleagues from Kite Pharma to develop and execute market research plans
General
- Will develop a robust understanding of the Kite / CAR T business and delivery model and will consult, recommend and implement on appropriate KPIs, data sources, business rules and analytics solutions as Kite / CAR T expands into further indications
- Helps to foster and maintain Kite Insights & Analytics network across ACE, sharing outputs and driving collaboration through calls and face to face meetings.
- Is an active member of the Global Insights & Analytics / Global Analytics and Commercial Operations Teams, meetings and initiatives.
Knowledge, Experience & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience in Oncology/Haematology required; Experience / Knowledge of cell therapy preferred.
- Thorough understanding of pharma data sources (e.g., IQVIA / IMS) and significant experience incorporating data sets into analyses
- Extensive understanding of analytic methodologies and demonstrated ability to apply these methodologies to answer business questions
- 4+ years of work experience in forecasting, marketing sciences, market research, strategic consulting or other analytical work in the biotech / pharmaceutical industries
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Strong proficiency in using data visualization tools – Tableau preferred
- Experience in specialty markets and in-depth knowledge of sales and marketing organizations and pharmaceutical data sources.
- Experience conducting qualitative and quantitative primary and secondary market research, with extensive experience in forecasting and analytics in the pharmaceutical industry
- Ability to translate marketing strategy questions into actionable Market Research projects and be able to challenge and support commercial teams to formulate their needs.
- Strong project management skills - planning, prioritization, organizational ability, objective setting, meeting management and plan execution; making things happen and quickly is important in this role.
- Able to prioritize and utilize limited resources to manage multiple and/or conflicting requests from a variety of internal customers, manage peak workload periods and ad hoc requests.
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to interact cross-functionally and at all levels of the organization.
- Well-developed leadership skills with an ability to set a vision, exercise sound business judgement and clear decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills with an ability to efficiently and productively communicate both orally and in writing.
- High attention to detail together with an ability to understand the 'big picture'.
- Capacity to engage the organization and effect change.
- Proactive, self-starter with the ability to learn quickly.
