The Position:
The Senior Logistics Coordinator is responsible for optimizing specimen shipping processes from customers to laboratories while ensuring the efficient and compliant movement of products across the supply chain. This role requires expertise in domestic and international logistics, workflow optimization, and data management. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, organized, and skilled in problem-solving, with exceptional communication abilities to collaborate across teams and maintain high customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate domestic and international shipments, ensuring timely, efficient, and compliant delivery of specimens and products.
- Develop and implement operational processes for specimen shipping, prioritizing accuracy and regulatory adherence.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, customer service, and production teams to align logistics strategies with business goals.
- Partner with production, customer service, sales, and carrier teams to align logistics operations with broader business objectives.
- Assist with UPS pickup placard implementation territory planning, quota setting, and resource allocation to support overall business goals.
- Act as a liaison between the sales team and customers, addressing and resolving operational issues to ensure seamless service.
- Analyze logistics data to identify trends, improve workflows, and recommend growth opportunities.
- Create and manage reports, dashboards, and KPIs to track logistics performance and vendor transitions.
- Address operational challenges, acting as a liaison between stakeholders to ensure seamless service.
- Onboard and train team members on logistics tools, systems, and processes.
- Maintain and optimize Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for logistics and shipping processes.
Who You Are:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or Logistics/Supply Chain Management.
- 5+ years of experience in logistics or supply chain operations, preferably in biotechnology or life sciences.
- Strong proficiency in analytics tools, advanced Excel, and ERP systems.
- A commitment to follow-through and attention to detail is necessary.
- Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
- Knowledge of biotechnology logistics and regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, ISO) is preferred.

The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, education, etc. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units. Veracyte is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states.
