The position is available in Ubisoft's worldwide IT department, and more specifically within the Production Services team, providing services and support to Ubisoft studios worldwide. Tools like GitLab, Artifactory and Perforce are essential building blocks in the process of video game creation. When supporting these tools, you will be in direct contact with Ubisoft’s core business!
As a Linux Systems Administrator at Ubisoft, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our video game development processes. Whether it’s for our players or our employees, our IT teams are the backbone of services and infrastructures that meet the most demanding technological challenges. You’ll be at the forefront of ensuring the seamless operation of video game development processes.
We're offering a permanent position in Malmö, Sweden, with the flexibility to work partially from home (up to two days a week) under our Flexible Workplace Policy. Please apply using English, our company's primary language.
What you'll do
- Operational Support: You’ll provide operational support for on-premise deployments of essential tools like Perforce, GitLab, and Artifactory. These tools are fundamental building blocks in the video game creation process.
- End-User Application Support: You’ll assist end-users with application-related issues, ensuring they can work efficiently and effectively.
- Troubleshooting and Incident Resolution: When incidents occur, you’ll troubleshoot and resolve them promptly, minimizing disruptions to production.
- Process Optimization: You’ll continuously improve existing processes and solutions, making them more efficient and effective.
- Global Collaboration: Working closely with colleagues both locally and globally, you’ll collaborate with a worldwide team to ensure Ubisoft’s production environment is set up for success.
- Requirements Understanding and Solutions: Interacting with studios across the globe, you’ll grasp their requirements and propose practical, sustainable solutions.
- On-Call Support: Approximately once every two months, you’ll provide on-call weekend support.

What you'll bring
As a Linux Systems Administrator, you pay close attention to details and handle computer systems carefully. You can adapt quickly when things get complicated and fix problems with precision. You're good at explaining things clearly to different people. When things go wrong, you stay calm and work through them step by step. You're always learning new things to make the systems work better. You are a strong communicator, customer-oriented and can easily get your point across. Besides the above we’re looking for someone aligned with our core values and the following skills and experience:
- Linux Environment: You have solid professional experience working with Linux environments.
- Low-Level Concepts: Your knowledge extends to low-level concepts like disk configurations, filesystems, and network setups.
- Version Control Systems: You’re familiar with version control systems such as Git, SVN, or Perforce.
- Cloud and Containerization: Basic understanding of cloud concepts and containerization.
- Ownership and Communication: You take ownership of tasks, communicate effectively, and stay customer-oriented.
Working closely with the local Snowdrop team while belonging to Global IT will require a balance of independence and transparency.
