Department OverviewThe IT Software Engineering Enablement Team in Penang is supporting the R&D centre consisting of over 2000 engineers from various disciplines to enhance their productivity and innovation by providing services that enable them to work more efficiently and in an agile work process. In addition to professional support, we focus on developing new solutions to integrate into our tools ecosystem and establish an internal application market for MSI. As our team grows, we are currently looking for a talented and highly motivated Developer to join us
Job Description

• Develop internal tools, portal, etc for end user

• Develop automation for existing tools platform to increase productivity / simplify process

• Utilize modern technology like Kubernetes, container, etc for cloud platform development

• Develop and integrate AI into existing tools platform

• Develop, deploy and maintain an add-on/applications for tools like GitHub, JIRA, Bitbucket, Confluence or JFrog- Artifactory

• Understanding of API development and testing with experience using Postman, Swagger, or similar API tools.

Basic Requirements

•  Candidate must have at least a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field such as Computer engineering or Computer science or equivalent

• Experience with shell scripting, Python, Perl, Javascript

• Have some knowledge / experience with tools like Bitbucket, Artifactory, Jira

• Experience with cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

• Experience writing performant code in high-level programming or scripting languages

• Strong understanding of CI/CD principles and experience implementing CI/CD pipelines.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

• Strong passion to learn and explore new technology and continuous improvement

• Good attitude and team player

• Have a mindset to automate everything from deploying software to mitigating system failures

• Candidate must be willing to work in Bayan Lepas, Penang.
