About the Role 

At Essity, we are embarking on a transformative journey to enhance our Global Supply Chain initiatives. We are seeking a Senior IT Project Manager who can lead and manage projects that drive our supply chain efficiency and effectiveness. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful execution of our global supply chain strategies across various regions. 

 

As a Senior IT Project Manager, you will be part of the central Project Delivery team and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders, from business leaders to IT professionals, both globally and locally, to drive project success. This role also extends beyond supply chain projects, as you will have the opportunity to manage projects in other areas as well.  

 

Additionally, you will work within a PMO function, ensuring that project management standards and practices are upheld across the organization.

What You Will Do

Project Management and delivery

  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of complex IT projects with a focus on Global Supply Chain initiatives, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.

  • Identify and highlight potential risks and challenges in project execution.

  • Establish and lead efficient project teams to secure planning, execution, and progress review.

Stakeholder and supplier management

  • Manage stakeholders, whether they are from Business or IT, involved within the project or part of the receiving organization.

  • Manage suppliers and partners who support us in Projects.

  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with all stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status and addressing any issues that arise.

Continuous Improvement and best practices

  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement by implementing best practices and lessons learned from previous projects/phases.

  • Ensure a value-oriented approach, not being afraid to challenge if the business value is questionable.

Collaboration and team alignment

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, analysts, and business stakeholders, to align project goals with business objectives.

  • Coach and mentor individuals and interact over processes and tools, helping the project team or individual to clarify goals and actions to achieve them.

Who You Are

  • You have at least 5 years of proven leadership managing medium to large size complexity IT projects.

  • You hold a university degree in IT or a similar field.

  • You possess strong skills in planning, executing, and closing projects.

  • Your advanced analytical and problem-solving skills enable you to address and overcome challenges that arise during projects.

  • Your excellent leadership and communication skills allow you to manage stakeholders and team members effectively.

  • You demonstrate a strong sense of urgency, flexibility, and adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, priority-changing environment

  • Certifications in Project Management, Agile, and Scrum are a plus.

  • Experience from Supply Chain projects are beneficial.

  • You are fluent in English, both verbal and written, ensuring clear and effective communication across all levels of the organization.

  • Willingness to travel.
