The Senior ICT & Network Support Professional is a specialist in applying cutting-edge digital solutions to create secure and robust technology, network protocols and data infrastructure for TL organization and its operations. The candidate is also skilled at strengthening operations through better use of technology, using collaborative approaches to understand the needs of diverse teams, identify the best technology solutions, and build the capacity of teams to adopt and use them effectively. S/He effectively champion the innovative use of technology solutions in the delivery of programs, tools, and resources, and excel at delivering user-centered solutions in collaboration with internal and external partners and supporting their successful use. In all aspects of their work, S/He demonstrates a strong command of collaboration, project management, and change management best practices and a drive for innovation and continuous improvement.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and updating all aspects of TL information systems, networks, and infrastructure to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the organization and to advance TL mission. S/He will lead efforts to strengthen organizational operations and productivity through the effective selection, introduction, and use of new technology infrastructure systems and solutions, and timely and responsive user support. The ideal candidate has experience with IDF or MDF rooms and active as well as passive technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a single point of contact for all network related issues with TL.
  • Act as a single point of contact for Network and Infrastructure Projects. 
  • Optimize network systems and use of technology tools internally by providing direction, guidance, and training to staff and help program teams to support partner organizations with value-add technology integration and optimization practices. 
  • Work with Senior IT Infrastructure Manager to establish standards and best practices for managing internal infrastructure, including network, access rights, desktops, servers, internal applications. 
  • Build and provide Cisco and HP Switches, Firewall and Routers support and administration. 
  • Responsible for day-to-day system administration, including management of internal network, VPN, Active Directory (AD) and system backups. 
  • Research and recommend network hardware and software solutions to IT Leadership Team. 
  • Provide hardware, software, and desktop support to network infrastructure upgrades or implementations. 
  • Troubleshoot, determine, and implement corrective measures for all local and wide area network issues. 
  • Built or upgrade network workstations and servers. 
  • Configure and maintain Cisco Catalyst 9600s, 9500s and latter platforms. 
  • Troubleshoot connectivity issues involving VLAN's, OSPF, QoS etc. 
  • Support, monitor and manage IP networks. 
  • Performance monitoring of various applications and web servers to maintain quality of service and network stability. 
  • Maintain core switches, creating VLAN's and configuring VTP. 
  • Design IP Addressing schemes, VLAN tables and Switch port assignments, Trunking and Ether-channel implementation. 
  • Hands-on experience with VLSM, STP, VTP, VLAN Trunking. 
  • Install and configure supplemental operating systems services (IIS, Proxy, DHCP, and WINS). 
  • Maintain and update documentation of all network systems and configurations. 
  • Research, execute, and document software license compliance. 
  • Responsible for performing administration on BGP & OSPF routing protocols. 
  • Configure route redistribution between EIGRP and OSPF. 
  • Involve in Network Designing, Routing, DNS, IP Sub netting, and TCP/IP protocol. 
  • Perform Route Filtering and Route Manipulation by applying distribute-lists, route-maps and offset lists. 
  • Provide Layer-3 redundancy by implementing HSRP in the network. 
  • Hands-on experience in implementation and troubleshooting of BGP, OSPF, IPV6 and Ethernet Protocols. 
  • Use protocol analyzer to interpret layer 2 and layer 3 messages to isolate and correct troubles. 
  • Interface with equipment vendors to ensure inter-operability. 
  • Turn up network circuits with carriers, including ISDN (PRI & BRI) & T1 circuits for voice, video & data. 
  • Prepare PowerBI reports and dashboards as needed and manage access. 

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Experience working on IT Rooms technical specifications.
  • Experience with fiber optic connectivity.
  • Extensive experience with Network Infrastructure.
  • Results oriented - Strives to achieve high levels of individual and organizational performance. 
  • In depth knowledge of Active Directory (Design, Security and Administration).
  • In depth knowledge of Networking technologies and concepts. Good understanding of VMWare.
  • Expert knowledge in infrastructure and networking with Cisco products. 
  • Good understanding of IT security and Data protection.
  • Good understanding of Cloud and mobile technology.
  • Advanced knowledge of Cisco, Huawei, and Citrix products.
  • Experience in managing a Microsoft environment across multiple domains.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills to successfully supervise and motivate staff and work in a dynamic geographically dispersed team environment with IT and business resources at all levels of the organization. 
  • Excellent communication skills, interpersonal, customer service and influencing skills.
  • Strong operational and project management skills and experience with enterprise-wide technology systems implementations and various change management approaches.
  • Excellent analytical skills; demonstrated ability to analyze and solve problems effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail with exceptional organization skills.

Qualifications

  • University degree in Network/Electrical Engineering or Information Technology or related field. 
  • 15 years of experience in the IT Industry with a networking and infrastructure specialized role. 
  • Cisco Certified (Required).
  • Project management certification - (Desirable).
  • ITIL Service Delivery management certification is preferred.
  • MCSE + Security.
  • Citrix Certified (Desirable).
