Peoplecert is looking for a Senior iOS/MacOS Developer responsible for the development and maintainance of native applications for iOS and Mac devices, cohesively integrating them with back-end services. You will be working alongside other teams on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and the creation of quality products is essential.  

As Senior iOS/MacOS Developer your tasks will include the following: 

  • Build and maintain native iOS and MacOS applications that integrate seamlessly with the company’s portal, ensuring a user-friendly experience. 
  • Conduct unit testing, troubleshoot issues, and debug applications to meet performance specifications.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure project alignment and success. 
  • Stay up to date with emerging tools, technologies, and solutions, to enhance application performance.
  • Act as the second line of support for production system users, resolving complex technical issues. 
  • Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a collaborative and learning-focused environment. 

What we look for:

  • Academic background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.  
  • Extensive professional experience in iOS development, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality applications on the Apple App Store. 
  • Deep understanding of the full mobile development lifecycle, from design to deployment. 
  • Strong knowledge of iOS SDK and supporting development tools, including Xcode, Instruments. 
  • Expertise in memory, performance, and energy optimization for mobile devices. 
  • Proficiency in Swift is a must, additional knowledge of SwiftUI will be considered a plus. 
  • Solid understanding and practical application of MVVM design patterns. 
  • Good knowledge of Objective-C. 
  • Familiarity with MacOS development is preferred. 
  • Strong knowledge of managing applications through the Apple Developer and iTunes Connect Portals. 
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, international environment; 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and intrinsic motivation;  
  • Ability to deliver qualitative results, enhancing best practices across the team and organization.

Working on Home Office (HO) Secure English Language Tests (SELTs)

Any person who is engaged by PeopleCert to work on the SELT service must undergo a Background Check (the results of which must be acceptable to PeopleCert and the HO) prior to commencing their SELT duties. All SELT personnel will be required to complete a declaration (provided by PeopleCert) where the existence of any criminal record and/or bankruptcy must be declared.

If working on the SELT service in the UK, background checks will include:

  • A basic or enhanced Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check
  • Right to Work in the UK check (including nationality, identity and place of residence)
  • HO security check (Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) or Counter Terrorist Check (CTC)
  • Financial background check
  • Employment reference check.
  • If working on the SELT service anywhere in the world (outside of the UK) personnel will undergo background checks that are equivalent to those stated for the UK.

In addition, if personnel are required to speak to SELT candidates they must be appropriately skilled in English language and, where SELT services are provided anywhere in the world (outside of the UK), the official language of the relevant country.
