Senior Investment Consultant

We are seeking an experienced Investment Consultant to join our Investments team at Mercer. This role will be based in Auckland. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

In this role as an Investment Consultant you will use strong technical knowledge and consulting skills to develop and deliver customised investment advice/solutions to both new and existing clients

We will count on you to:

  • Provide tailored investment advice to clients, focusing on strategic asset allocation, portfolio construction, manager selection, and performance monitoring.

  • Develop and support investment solutions for clients who choose to delegate management to Mercer.

  • Drive business growth through market leadership and actively pursue new and recurring work from clients and prospects.

  • Build and maintain strong client service disciplines within the delegated solutions business.

  • Offer investment support to the wider business, including acting as a QFE Advisor and collaborating with Workplace Savings clients and Mercer Super Trust employers.

What you need to have:

  • Bachelor’s or Honours degree.

  • 7+ years of relevant experience in investment consulting or a related field.

  • Proven client relationship management skills with the ability to effectively promote Mercer to clients and prospects.

  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

  • Advanced knowledge of investments, both theoretical and practical, along with an understanding of issues impacting key stakeholders, including fund sponsors.
