The Senior Instructional Designer will be responsible for assessing, designing and developing enablement solutions that provide Atlassian sales, technical sales, customer success, and partners with the knowledge and skills required to drive revenue and customer satisfaction.
The individual in this role will work with the target audience, business stakeholders and subject-matter-experts to define enablement objectives. They will then use these insights and requirements to develop content and build learning solutions that are sales-relevant, channel-relevant, practical and scalable.
This is someone who is passionate about working with sales and success teams, effective at building relationships, and adept at synthesizing large amounts of complex information to make it simple and actionable.
This position is an individual contributor role and will report to the Sr. Manager, Revenue Enablement Instructional Design.
Responsibilities:
- Engage the sales/success and business stakeholders to identify knowledge, skill, systems, and process enablement requirements for sales, technical sales, customer success, and partners
- Leverage information gained through needs analysis to recommend, design, develop and implement engaging, informative, and visually compelling learning experiences, including online learning, instructor led training, virtual training, job aids, instructional videos, audio/video scripts and role play exercises
- Collaborate with SMEs to develop and review enablement content and proactively identify additional expert resources who can address content gaps
- Develop knowledge assessments, certification exams, and programs to measure participant learning and application
- Conduct training pilots and train-the-trainer sessions, as needed
- Actively review and evaluate existing enablement to determine when content needs to be updated, replaced, or retired
- Constantly seek to evolve and refine enablement solutions based on user feedback, enablement best practices and the availability of new ID tooling
Qualifications:
- 5+ years experience scoping, planning, designing, developing and implementing effective enablement solutions for sales, success and/or partners, at a technology company
- Experience working directly with sales, success and partners to understand their learning needs, vet content and gather closed loop feedback
- Consultative approach and proven track record of effective collaboration and influence at all levels of an organization, with the ability to achieve goals in a fast-paced and continuously evolving environment
- Ability to work in, and manage, ambiguity, including dealing with issues that do not always have a clear process, system or solution in place
- Well versed in building microlearning strategies and exploring new tools to optimize the learning experience
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong program management skills
- Experience using content development tools including Articulate 360, Vyond, 7Taps, Second Nature, Camtasia
- Proactive, self-directed and results-oriented
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, a must
Compensation
At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:
Zone A: $150,300 - $200,400
Zone B: $135,300 - $180,400
Zone C: $124,700 - $166,300
This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.
