ABOUT THE ROLE:
Are you ready to shape the future of food innovation? We're searching for a forward-thinking Senior Insight Leader, driven by a passion for uncovering the latest consumer trends and turning them into ground-breaking ideas. If you excel at pushing product innovation and renovation while keeping our offerings relevant, this role offers the chance to make a lasting impact!
As the expert in consumer insights, you'll empower our Marketing Team with strategies that shape compelling, consumer-driven brand plans. You'll also champion McCain's 'Insight to Proposition' framework for GB, pushing the limits of what's possible.
What You'll Do:
Reporting to the Director of Marketing NPD, your responsibilities will include:
- Uncovering fresh consumer insights and turning them into innovative products across Retail, Foodservice, and QSR channels.
- Leading strategic consumer insight initiatives, influencing brand strategies both in-home and out-of-home.
- Collaborating with the Global Marketing Team to develop large-scale innovations with cross-regional potential.
- Guiding new product developments through McCain's stage gate process.
- Partnering with the Insight Manager on all consumer and operator research.
- Managing and optimising the research budget to drive efficiency and results.
- Step up and lead innovation at the forefront of food!
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
We need someone curious, ambitious, and eager to drive big changes. Already an Insight / Innovation Lead in FMCG, you're ready to elevate your career with us. Along with your love of food, you'll bring:
- Deep understanding of GB's retail, foodservice, and QSR sectors.
- Expertise in using Insight-to-Proposition frameworks to build forward-thinking strategies.
- Strong analytical mind, skilled in data interpretation and numeracy.
- Proactive, results-driven attitude.
- Resilience and self-motivation when faced with challenges.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- A collaborative approach with the confidence to challenge and influence.
- Experience managing stakeholders both internally and externally.
- Agility to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
- Degree-level education or equivalent experience.
WHERE YOU'LL WORK:

While you'll join us in the office weekly to keep connections strong, we also encourage a balance of home working to promote a healthy life-work harmony. Our head office, the Customer Experience Centre, is just outside Scarborough-about 1.5 hours from Leeds and an hour from York. Many colleagues make the journey, even just for the great coffee and collaborative energy!
You'll also attend consumer conferences across the UK, so a clean driving licence is essential.
