How you'll make a difference?

This position will participate in all areas of the tax department, primarily focusing on supporting the income tax provision and domestic compliance, including administering our technology tools used in these processes. The successful candidate will also support our indirect tax processes by building technology solutions to aid in reporting and analytics. The position will work with the accounting and finance organization to gather and process information to support all processes assigned, including computation of book/tax differences, reconciliations, SOX documentation, and tax basis fixed assets. This position will support all other areas of the Company’s tax department, including special projects, as assigned..

What will your duties and responsibilities be?

  • Prepare and review federal, state, and international working papers and related tax forms for annual compliance and quarterly provision processes

  • Assist with the preparation of the global tax provision in accordance with ASC740 including deferred tax assets, valuation allowances and related footnote disclosures for 10-Q’s and 10-K’s, including drafting of memos and supporting documentation; ensure work product is SOX compliant

  • Assist with tax audits with tax authorities and document requests from external auditors

  • Assist with tax reporting for fixed assets, using CCH Fixed Asset software, and state property apportionment.

  • Monitor legislative changes in tax laws that may impact company’s business and tax positions.

  • Ensure all tax processes are SOX compliant and support periodic SOX testing process.

  • Lead and support continuous improvement efforts in all working papers.

  • Participate in tax process improvement initiatives and coordinate with other departments throughout the organization

  • Develop automation solutions using Alteryx and MS Power BI to increase department efficiencies

  • Assist in other tax related projects as requested by tax management

  • Tax and accounting research to help discern appropriate treatment of various transactions and issues, as needed

What skills and experience will you need?

  • Technological skills, including ability to manage, manipulate and perform data analytics in Excel and Alteryx

  • Experience with Onesource provision and compliance tools

  • 3+ years of domestic income tax focus, including book/tax difference computations

  • 1-2 years of provision experience (ASC740)

  • Strong project management, analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills that support building of high quality documentation

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Masters preferred

  • CPA Designation or demonstrated progress towards CPA Designation
