The Senior Implementation Consultant plays a pivotal role in the delivery of Equiniti Expert’s (EQX) flagship CRM and workflow management tool, MMX. The core focus of any consultant is in gathering customer requirements, and the design & delivery of an appropriate solution that both meets the customer needs and is in scope of MMX functionality.

This dynamic role requires someone who can think on their feet, isn’t afraid of a challenge and can communicate well across all areas of a business. The Senior Implementation Consultant works in partnership with other consultants and the EQX project management team, taking the lead in delivering complex and/or large implementations to customers from inception to handoff in an often fast-paced environment.

Core Duties/Responsibilities

  • Gather functional and business requirements from clients through workshops (online and in-person) and business analysis methodologies.

  • Document the output efficiently including the production of process maps.

  • Design a solution that meets the client needs and is within the scope of product/services offered by EQX.

  • Engage with other consultants and the EQX Product team to refine and ensure the solution is achievable within budget and to spec.

  • Walk the customer through the solution and drive customer signoff.

  • Take the lead in delivering complex and/or large implementations.

  • Support other consultants on delivery, either as part of the project team or on an ad-hoc basis as needed.

  • Configure the MMX application using the bespoke application management tools.

  • Install the MMX application in both development and customer environments.

  • Provide support to the EQX and customer test teams on functional and user acceptance testing.

  • Identify and resolve issues, differentiating between bugs and changes.

  • Provide training to the customer on the configured application.

  • Provide go-live support, ensuring customer uptake and adoption is maximised.

  • Be the customer champion, understanding the problems EQX are solving from the customer’s viewpoint.

  • Engage with customer stakeholders and internal EQ stakeholders to ensure the product is best configured to meet the customer’s business need.

  • Communicate project updates to the EQX Project Management Team.

  • Highlight any potential opportunities which could leverage other EQ products and services.

  • Provide support on customer support issues, as and when identified by the support desk and escalated to the implementation team.

  • Be an application champion; not having all the right answers but being able to signpost colleagues and customers to the right areas.

  • Mentor and support consultants in best practice for delivery.

  • Supporting the Head of Implementations in day to day activities and leadership.

  • Identify and take the lead on internal improvement projects.

Skills, Capabilities and Attributes

Required

  • Comfortable hosting and facilitating workshops with diverse groups of stakeholders, both remotely and in person

  • Confident and engaging communicator across all levels of an organisation

  • Ability to adapt to the demands in the moment, balancing time and priorities against budgets and expectations.

  • Able to work on multiple, often demanding, projects simultaneously

  • An analytical mindset with a keen eye for detail

  • Able to grasp new technology and concepts with ease

  • The ability to understand problems holistically and communicate well thought-out solutions

  • Good skills in MS Office & MS Visio (or other process mapping software)

  • Understanding of relational database ideas, and practical use of SQL to interrogate date

  • Good knowledge of IT Infrastructure concepts

  • Team player who is able to work independently

  • 4+ years’ experience with IT projects, with experience in software implementations across SaaS and/or on-premise applications

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent, or demonstrate equivalent work experience

Desirable

  • Experience in a consulting role

  • Experience of leading teams or mentoring colleagues

  • Experience with IT Change management processes

  • Experience within financial service and/or knowledge of accounting practices

  • Recognised BA certification (BCS, IIBA, PMI or equivalent)
