MongoDB’s mission is to empower innovators to create, transform, and disrupt industries by unleashing the power of software and data. We enable organizations of all sizes to easily build, scale, and run modern applications by helping them modernize legacy workloads, embrace innovation, and unleash AI. Our industry-leading developer data platform, MongoDB Atlas, is the only globally distributed, multi-cloud database and is available in more than 115 regions across AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure. Atlas allows customers to build and run applications anywhere—on premises, or across cloud providers. With offices worldwide and over 175,000 new developers signing up to use MongoDB every month, it’s no wonder that leading organizations, like Samsung and Toyota, trust MongoDB to build next-generation, AI-powered applications.

As the HR Tech Senior Engineer, you will be instrumental in shaping the strategic direction and development of our human resources systems, with a focus on the SuccessFactors Talent Management modules. You will oversee the configuration and optimization of the Hire to Retire lifecycle, from initial requirements through to launch and beyond. Your primary goal will be to deliver innovative talent solutions that enhance the efficiency, effectiveness, and user experience of our HR systems, ultimately supporting the company's mission and People Team objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • System Design and Implementation: Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of SuccessFactors Talent solutions to align with organizational needs, HR best practices, and compliance requirements.
  • Data Management: Develop and implement strategies to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security within the HRIS. Monitor data quality and address any issues as needed.
  • System Security: Optimize, monitor, and scale Role-Based Permissions (RBP) to secure sensitive HR data.
  • Reporting and Analytics: Design and generate reports, dashboards, and analytics using SF Story Reports to provide insights into HR metrics and trends. Collaborate with HR and other stakeholders to develop reporting requirements and deliver actionable insights.
  • Stakeholder Management: Utilize strong interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with the MongoDB People team, influence decision-making, and become a trusted advisor. Minimize tech speak when dealing with end users and leverage your experience supporting talent cycles to provide recommendations.
  • User Experience: Advocate for a user-centric approach to product development, ensuring HR systems are intuitive, user-friendly, and meet the needs of diverse user groups.
  • Integration Management: Oversee and design the integration of HRIS with other business systems and talent management platforms, ensuring seamless data flow and interoperability.
  • Vendor Management: Evaluate and manage external vendors, contractors, and partners involved in the development, integration, or maintenance of HR systems.
  • Continuous Improvement: Monitor industry trends, gather user feedback, conduct retrospectives, and assess internal processes to identify areas for improvement and drive ongoing enhancements to HR systems.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Deep domain knowledge in the following SuccessFactors modules:

    • Qualtrics HXM including survey configuration and reporting.
    • Associated SF module reporting, RBP, and working knowledge of Position Management.
  • Strong functional understanding of HR business processes such as performance reviews, succession planning, competencies/skills development, engagement surveys, and learning.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into actionable product features and technical specifications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders and influence decision-making at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a proactive and results-driven mindset.
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies, software development lifecycle (SDLC), and project management best practices.

Success Measures:

  • In 3 months: You will have fully ramped up on TechOps HR Tech processes, familiarized yourself with our HR Tech stack, identified process improvements, gained a deep understanding of HRIS products, and built relationships with key partners and stakeholders.
  • In 6 months: You will have taken complete ownership of executing, driving, and leading the delivery of technical solutions for SuccessFactors Talent modules in partnership with technical delivery teams and business stakeholders. Additionally, you will work with engineering teams to develop prototypes and MVPs aligned with a prioritized roadmap.
