The Senior HR Manager at Brunswick Group will work alongside the APAC and global People team leadership to operationalize a regional HR strategy that enables all colleagues to excel. Based in the Hong Kong office, the Senior HR Manager will work in close partnership with the Chief People Officer, the Senior HR Manager, China and Japan, and other Regional People Leads to ensure that policies and initiatives are shaped and delivered in accordance with Brunswick’s strategic ambitions. It is important this person is highly collaborative and has an exceptional track record providing high-quality support for colleagues. They will be expected to act as a trusted advisor and reliable business partner to regional and functional leadership and other internal stakeholders, as well as provide continuous feedback to the specialist HR teams for ongoing process improvement.

Of utmost importance is the responsibility for executing processes accurately, efficiently, effectively, and consistently, to build the reputation of the People Function within Asia-Pacific. This role will have specific responsibility for the markets of Hong Kong, Singapore, and Australia, while also expected to work collaboratively with the Senior HR Manager, Mainland China and Japan. The expectation is these two roles will work seamlessly to service the diverse markets of Asia-Pacific as a whole.

Key Responsibilities

HR Management and Partnering:

  • Collaborate with colleagues and senior management to address HR needs and initiatives.
  • Provide HR support and guidance across various levels within the organization.

Problem-Solving and Issue Management:

  • Identify and flag HR-related issues promptly.
  • Develop and implement solutions to resolve complex problems effectively.

Communication and Language Proficiency:

  • Communicate clearly and accurately in both English and an Asian language.
  • Draft and review HR documents with meticulous attention to detail.

Interpersonal and Organizational Skills:

  • Build and maintain professional relationships with ease.
  • Plan, prioritize, and manage workloads to meet tight deadlines and long-term project timelines.

Data Analysis and Decision Making:

  • Utilize data to create insightful reports and recommendations.
  • Implement data-driven solutions to drive positive organizational changes.

Adaptability and Continuous Improvement:

  • Adapt to new situations and prioritize critical tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Continuously seek and introduce improvements to enhance HR outcomes.

Collaboration:

  • Work collaboratively and in all aspects as a single team with the Senior HR Manager, Mainland China and Japan to ensure a fluid coverage of the region as a whole.
  • Work collaboratively with global People Team colleagues to ensure sharing of best practices and information as required. Openly participate in meetings, discussions, and thought generation workshops with global People Team colleagues, to ensure best practice is being applied globally.

Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies

Extensive HR Experience:

  • Over 6 years in HR management, including work in top-tier advisory firms or global organizations, with a focus on partnering with colleagues and senior management.

Problem-Solving and Solution Orientation:

  • Strong ability to identify issues, provide advice, and manage complex problems through to completion.

Communication Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication in English and an Asian language, with attention to detail and accuracy.

Interpersonal and Organizational Skills:

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, judgment, and the ability to build professional relationships quickly.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage workloads and meet deadlines.

Data-Driven Decision Making:

  • Regular use of data to create compelling stories, translate analysis into recommendations, and implement solutions for positive change.

Adaptability and Resilience:

  • Agile and resilient, able to thrive in fast-paced environments, prioritize critical tasks, and continuously seek improvements.
