About the Team

Workday is looking for a Sr People / HR Consultant to support our employees in South Europe. You will demonstrate a broad scope of knowledge and experience and contribute proactively to the development of goals, improve performance, effectively set clear expectations, and to support both the employee and leaders in the pursuit of desired business outcomes. You will also support our employee representative bodies in France and projects across EMEA. This position offers an experienced HR generalist with an outstanding opportunity to develop and grow their capability within an exciting and high growth company.

About the Role

Responsibilities

  • Engage as a trusted adviser and subject matter expert to coach employees and managers on sensitive work-related issues related but not limited to conflict resolution, performance management, interpretation of company policy, and culture and values

  • Assist managers and employees in understanding and applying people tools, policies and procedures to maximize employee performance, achieve organizational effectiveness, improve employee engagement, and ensure legal compliance

  • Provide support to HR director with the employee representatives duties and compliance requirement in selected countries including France

  • Analyze data, understand trends, and develop proactive solutions to further support business objectives

  • Partner closely with the broader People & Purpose team members to implement specific HR processes and policies to support country-specific requirements

  • Work closely with HR operations team members based in  Dublin, Ireland to support employee and manager-generated requests.

  • Complete ad-hoc projects, reporting and tasks as required with cross-functional HR teams, working on or leading projects and programs

  • Act as the local, onsite liaison as needed for coordinating any urgent HR issues

About You

What you need to succeed

  • 5+ years of relevant experience working in Employee Relations, HR generalist or HR business partner role

  • Knowledge in ER management in France including Workers council (CSE) and trade unions. 

  • Display the highest commitment to customer service and maintaining a best in class employee experience

  • Demonstrate effective influencing skills to provide resolution to complex and highly sensitive employee issues, while maintaining appropriate confidentiality

  • Ability to work independently and be part of an international team environment while developing strong professional relationships with peers, managers, executives and cross-functional teams.

  • Ability to use sound judgment to problem solve, make decisions and involve necessary individuals at the appropriate time.

  • Good knowledge in France and ideally other EMEA countries labor law, policies and customs. 

  • Speak French fluently as well as English (Additional European languages are a plus).

  • Excellent communication skills
