In order to continue our growth, we are seeking a Senior Graph Database Architect! This is a unique opportunity to leverage your expertise in graph databases and lead the design and development of a highly customizable and scalable system that will revolutionize the way we manage and access knowledge and documents. As a Senior Graph Database Architect, you will be the driving force behind the technical design and implementation of our new software system. Your deep understanding of graph databases, such as Neo4j, and your ability to design efficient and flexible architectures will be critical to the success of this project. You will work closely with our engineering team, providing technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to ensure the delivery of a high-quality, performant, and scalable solution. Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect and design a state-of-the-art graph database solution that can handle complex relationships and scale to meet the growing needs of our organization
  • Evaluate and select the most suitable graph database technology (e.g., Neo4j) based on our specific requirements and use cases
  • Lead the engineering team in Medellín in the development and implementation of the new software system, ensuring best practices and coding standards are followed
  • Optimize query performance, database structure, and data modeling to ensure efficient and fast data retrieval and analysis
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, provide technical guidance, and ensure alignment with business objectives
  • Continuously explore and evaluate new graph database technologies and techniques to keep our solution at the forefront of innovation
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and technical excellence within the engineering team
Requirements
  • Minimum of 8 years of software engineering experience, with at least 5 years focused on graph databases and their applications in complex, large-scale systems
  • Deep expertise in graph database technologies, preferably Neo4j, and a strong understanding of graph theory and its practical applications
  • Strong proficiency in AWS infrastructure and Python programming, with the ability to design and implement scalable and secure cloud-based solutions
  • Experience in building highly configurable and customizable systems, with a focus on search and knowledge management domains
  • Proven track record of leading and mentoring engineering teams, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish, enabling effective communication with our global team

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Relevant certifications in graph databases, AWS, or other related technologies
  • Experience with agile development methodologies and DevOps practices
  • Knowledge of natural language processing (NLP) and machine learning techniques applied to knowledge management
