Our team provides qualified Accounting and Finance professionals on a temporary and permanent basis across a broad range of industries. GHJ’s relationship with our Global Advisory and Accounting Network provides the resources needed to better understand client’s needs, attract a higher caliber of candidates and assess candidate potential.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Grants Accountant to join one of our distinguished nonprofit clients in Los Angeles.
In this position, you will play a key role in the oversight of grants accounting, ensuring compliance with regulatory accounting & financial reporting standards.
Responsibilities:
- Oversight for pre and post award budget administration
- Financial reporting for grants
- Tracking grant budgets and monitoring metrics
- Assisting manager with the preparation of monthly grant billings and ensuring compliance with grant standards and guidelines
- Work closely with the accounting team, assisting with monthly close, financial reporting, annual audit, etc.
- Collaborate closely with management and senior leadership, relaying pertinent information regarding grant performance and make recommendations to improve procedures, compliance, etc.
- Work closely with leadership to ensure full utilization of grant funds
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 4+ years of accounting experience with grants
