About the role
We are looking for a Full-Stack Mobile engineer with 5+ years of experience to join the Industrious Engineering Team. Technology is at the heart of re-thinking coworking and you will play an integral role in shaping our vision of a better work-day into reality. We understand that great engineering teams are built upon relationships as much as they are built on inspiring work. You will collaborate with the product, design and development teams to implement our mobile application with emphasis on scalable and resilient design. You will play a key role in shaping the future of our mobile applications used by thousands of members everyday.  

We have a strong preference for candidates based in Montreal, Canada.
Responsibilities

• Build and maintain our mobile application which includes backend work
• Ensure scalability and resilience of the solutions implemented
• Partner with business units and Product team to implement suitable technology that aligns with Industrious' overall systems architecture and data strategy
• Deliver high quality code, in accordance with best practices, and stay up-to-date on best practices
• Future-proof the software solutions you deliver by minimizing built-in assumptions, and writing tests where appropriate
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Full-Stack Mobile Engineer. At least 5 years of experience in a previous role. 
• Strong knowledge of Javascript, Typescript, React Native and NodeJS.
• Strong knowledge of native ecosystems, iOS and Android. Experience in native languages (Java/Objective C) an asset. 
• Strong knowledge of unit testing with React Native Testing Library and Jest. 
• Strong understanding of state management in React.
• Deep understanding of distributed architecture, experience with micro services and event streaming platforms such as Apache Kafka an asset.
• Experience with CI/CD with Code Magic an asset.
• Experience with dealing with Apple/Google guidelines and store submission an asset.
• A desire for continuous self improvement and the solutions you will work with.
• A knack for collaboration.
