Senior Fullstack Engineer for Ecosystem

The aim is to make both the user experience and underlying system work at a large scale — considering performance, flexibility, and seamless access management.

About the team

The Ecosystem team at Productboard is responsible for building Public APIs and key integrations with third-party tools and systems. We empower our customers to:

• Make informed product decisions by connecting their critical applications to Productboard.
• Build custom solutions on top of Productboard.
• Push prioritized features directly into development tools, saving time and keeping product and engineering teams aligned.

This work is essential to maintaining our competitive edge and ensuring our products meet the needs of customers, particularly in the enterprise segment.

About the roleRole Summary

• We are seeking a Frontend-Focused Fullstack Engineer to join our Ecosystem team.
• This position is ideal for someone who is confident in frontend development but wants to expand their knowledge and skills in backend development.
• They will have the opportunity to primarily work on user-facing features while contributing to backend systems, with support and collaboration from experienced backend engineers. The primary responsibility will be developing and refining user-facing features while also contributing to the backend when needed.
• This role is critical for delivering seamless integrations and APIs that empower our customers to connect their tools, build custom solutions, and enhance workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain frontend applications using React and Typescript.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate APIs and deliver full-stack solutions.
• Participate in all phases of the development lifecycle, from concept to deployment.
• Ensure a high standard of code quality through peer reviews and best practices.
• Work closely with product managers and designers to create user-centric features.
• Identify and resolve performance or scalability issues in the codebase.

• Expected Outcomes:

• Deliver high-quality, performant, and scalable frontend features that enhance user experience.
• Contribute to backend systems to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
• Actively participate in improving FE development processes and team collaboration, and improve our FE tech stack.
• Regularly ship impactful changes that align with customer and business goals.

Technical Skills and Competencies

• Proficiency in React, Typescript, and modern frontend development practices.
• Knowledge of performance optimization techniques for web applications.
• Familiarity with consuming and integrating APIs through GraphQL.
• Basic understanding of backend development in Ruby or Kotlin.
  • Note: Knowledge in C# and .NET is fine, but mainly the candidate need the interest an interest in learning Kotlin, Java, and RoR
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of version control systems like Git.

• Nice to have Technical Skills:

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
• Exposure to cloud services or containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with tools like Jira, DataDog, LaunchDarkly, Amplitude, Looker

Experience Requirements

• Minimum Years of Experience: 5+ years of experience in frontend development, including building production-grade applications.
• Exposure to backend development, with the ability to collaborate effectively with backend-focused engineers.
• Prior experience working in cross-functional teams, contributing to the full development lifecycle ideally in a startup.
• Familiarity with building integrations or working with APIs in previous roles is a plus.
• Leadership Experience: Not required.

This role is based in our Prague or Brno office with an office-centric hybrid schedule.
