Principal DevOps Engineer- Hybrid / Remote

What's the role?
Team:
The Product Trust team is looking for a DevOps Engineer to help streamline our state-of-the-art tools and processes for helping developer achieve compliance. You will play a key role in improving these processes and solving engineering issues related to their implementation and operations.
The Product Trust team is responsible to address Privacy, Security, and OSS compliance from the earliest stages of the product development lifecycle. As a member of this team, you will become the subject matter expert for OSS licensing compliance but can also expand into the privacy and security domains. You will work with a global team to build tooling, drive improvement to compliance, and inform best practices for development teams.
Main responsibilities:

• Ensure smooth operations of our compliance tools, by maintaining and improving the underlying CI/CD-based infrastructure.
• Further develop and expand the CI/CD-based infrastructure to enable improvements and optimizations to the compliance process.
• Manage the cloud infrastructure and dockerized environments on which the compliance tools run.
• Support teams in adopting the OSS process into their operations and release cycle.

Who are you?

• Proven experience in a DevOps role, at least 5 years working with CI/CD environments such as GitLab/GitHub, containerized environments such as Docker, shell scripting, AWS cloud management.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to solve problems with a structured approach.
• Interest and propensity for learning about new fields, technologies, tools.
• Good understanding of agile development practices, product release process.
• Experience developing automation using GitLab APIs.
• Strong understanding of build systems such as Gradle, Maven, SBT and CMake.
• Advanced knowledge of Python and Kotlin.
• Excellent English communication, both verbal and written. Experience in a support role is a plus, for example supporting teams with technical issues or writing how-to guides and user documentation.

Would be a plus:

• Experience contributing to Open Source projects and engaging in the OSS community.
• Experience deploying SAST / secret detection / dependency scanning jobs..
• Interest in the Security & Privacy space is an advantage.
