The role

We are seeking a skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team, focusing on architecting and building scalable, high-performance applications with an emphasis on Python and AI integration. In this role, you will be a key driver of technical strategy, leading the development of both front-end and back-end systems, and collaborating with our AI and data science teams to build cutting-edge AI-powered user experiences.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will take the lead in designing, developing, and maintaining complex web applications. You will utilize your deep expertise in React, JavaScript, and Python to build robust, scalable systems that power intelligent features, leveraging AI and machine learning models. You will also architect backend microservices, design efficient APIs, and work on optimizing performance across the entire tech stack to ensure seamless, real-time experiences.

You’ll lead by example, mentoring junior engineers, guiding them through technical challenges, and fostering a culture of innovation and best practices. Your ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and engineers, will be critical in delivering new AI-driven features that meet both technical and business objectives.

What you’ll do

• Build Scalable, AI-Powered Applications: Design, develop, and optimize full-stack systems that integrate cutting-edge AI capabilities. Your expertise in React, JavaScript, and Python will be crucial in creating high-performance, scalable applications that drive innovative, AI-enhanced user experiences.
• Lead the Development of Backend Microservices: Architect and implement robust backend services and APIs to support AI-driven features. You’ll design scalable and efficient RESTful and GraphQL APIs, optimizing data flows to ensure seamless integration between the front-end and AI models.
• Collaborate with AI and Data Science Teams: Work closely with our AI and data science teams to integrate machine learning models and advanced algorithms into user-facing applications. You’ll help drive the implementation of AI features that enhance user interactions and optimize workflows within the application.
• Solve Complex Technical Challenges: Tackle complex technical problems related to real-time processing, AI integration, and system performance. Your experience with asynchronous programming and microservice architectures will be key to building efficient, reliable systems that support AI capabilities at scale.
• Optimize Performance Across the Stack: Continuously evaluate and improve the performance of both front-end and back-end systems. You’ll be responsible for optimizing everything from API interactions to front-end UI responsiveness, ensuring a smooth and fast user experience across all devices.
• Write Clean, Scalable Code and Unit Tests: Develop maintainable and efficient code that is tested for performance and reliability. You’ll use your expertise in Python, JavaScript, and React to ensure that the codebase is clean, secure, and optimized for the demanding requirements of AI-powered applications.
• Mentor Junior Developers: Guide junior engineers in their technical growth, sharing best practices and offering mentorship on system design, coding standards, and AI application development. You’ll help foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation across the team.
• Ensure Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate with designers, product managers, and other engineers to ensure the AI-driven features you develop align with business goals and meet user needs. You will be part of an agile team that drives constant iteration and improvement.

What you’ll bring

• Proven Full-Stack Development Experience: 5+ years of experience in full-stack development, with a strong focus on React, JavaScript, and Python. You have hands-on experience building and maintaining scalable web applications, leveraging both front-end and back-end technologies to deliver seamless, high-performance systems.
• Expertise in AI Integration: Experience integrating AI and machine learning functionalities into production applications. You’re familiar with working alongside data science and AI teams to bring intelligent features to life, enhancing user experiences with advanced algorithms and models.
• Strong API Design & Implementation Skills: Extensive experience in designing and developing RESTful and GraphQL APIs. You are proficient in creating efficient, scalable APIs that handle complex data flows and enable seamless integration between front-end interfaces and AI-powered back-end services.
• Solid Knowledge of Asynchronous & Real-Time Programming: Familiarity with asynchronous programming concepts and frameworks such as FastAPI and Django. You understand how to manage high-performance, real-time interactions and can design systems that handle concurrent tasks without compromising speed or reliability.
• Experience with Performance Optimization: You have a proven track record of optimizing both front-end and back-end systems for performance. From improving API response times to optimizing front-end rendering, you can identify bottlenecks and implement solutions that ensure a smooth user experience, even under heavy load.
• Strong Database Knowledge & Data Management: Solid understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases, with experience optimizing queries and handling complex data structures. Familiarity with cloud-based data solutions like Redis, MariaDB, or PostgreSQL will be valuable in ensuring efficient data storage and management.
• Hands-On Experience with Microservices Architecture: Experience designing, developing, and deploying microservices in a full-stack environment. You are comfortable building independent, reusable components and services that can scale across various applications, while maintaining high availability and fault tolerance.

• Experience Integrating AI & Machine Learning Models: You've worked on integrating AI features into full-stack applications, especially in leveraging LLM APIs or machine learning models. Your ability to develop intelligent, data-driven applications will be key in taking our AI-powered features to the next level.
• Familiarity with ASGI Frameworks: You’ve used FastAPI, Starlette, or similar ASGI frameworks to design and implement high-performance, asynchronous backend systems. Your experience with non-blocking, scalable services will ensure our applications can handle real-time processing demands.
• Knowledge of Real-Time Communication Protocols: You’re well-versed in websockets, Socket.IO, or other real-time communication protocols. Your ability to implement low-latency, bidirectional communication ensures seamless and smooth interactions within our AI-enhanced, real-time applications.
• Hands-On Experience with Cloud Infrastructure: You've worked extensively with AWS, GCP, or Azure, and have experience deploying scalable, resilient backend systems. Your expertise in cloud technologies will be essential for ensuring our AI-driven systems are highly available and perform at their best, even under varying loads.
• Strong Database & Data Management Skills: You have a deep understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases and have worked with MariaDB, PostgreSQL, or Redis. Whether optimizing queries, managing data pipelines, or handling complex datasets, you’re proficient at ensuring fast, efficient data storage and retrieval for high-performance applications.
• Experience with FastAPI & Starlette: You have hands-on experience with FastAPI or Starlette and understand how to build asynchronous backend services for AI/ML-driven applications. You’re able to leverage these frameworks to create high-performance, scalable APIs that enable real-time data processing.
• Experience with Caching and Message Queues: You’ve worked with Redis for caching or Kafka/RabbitMQ for message queueing. These tools are critical for optimizing backend performance, especially in real-time, high-traffic environments where efficiency and reliability are paramount.
• Experience in Agile Development: You’re comfortable working in an Agile development environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams, participating in sprints, and using tools like Jira, Git, and Confluence to keep projects on track and deliver high-impact features iteratively.
