About the Role:

As a Senior Frontend Engineer at LandingAI, you will play a crucial role in designing and building AI-powered web applications that improve and refine computer vision and machine learning solutions. You will collaborate closely with engineering, product, and other cross-functional teams to develop intuitive, high-performance user interfaces for products like LandingLens™ and VisionAgent™, ensuring a seamless and engaging experience for users across various industries.

Your work will directly contribute to making advanced AI tools more accessible and impactful, helping businesses harness the power of Visual AI to solve complex challenges. Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy infrastructure and AI services. You will design, build, and scale the required infrastructure for Machine Learning services and data management with a focus on high availability, stable, low latency, scalability, and security. In this role, you will work closely with our Machine Learning Engineers and Technical Product Managers to understand the client and development requirements. You will be immersed in a highly dynamic and agile development environment.
• Build and deliver high-quality AI products to clients’ hands. You will be responsible for building world-class web applications and services ensuring internal/external client satisfaction. This responsibility has two aspects: first, you will work closely with our Product Managers to understand and solve the clients’ real business and product needs; second, you will make sure both web computing products perform reliably with low latency. 
• Architect, develop, and maintain high-quality web applications using React.js and Next.js. Implement modern, responsive, and pixel-perfect UI components using Tailwind CSS or other cutting-edge styling solutions.
• Take responsibility for the full software development cycle. You will take responsibility for architecting, developing, deploying, monitoring/maintaining services that are owned by your team. You must keep a high standard on coding, testing, automation of deployment, and monitoring. You must always be willing to get your hands dirty on troubleshooting issues.
• Mentor and guide fellow engineers, setting technical direction and sharing best practices for frontend development.

What you will bring:

• Required Skills: 
• 5+ years of experience in frontend development with a strong focus on React.js and Next.js.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, and modern ES6+ features.
• Expertise in modern UI frameworks like Tailwind CSS, ShadCN or similar.
• Strong full-stack understanding: Comfortable with API design and backend interactions, with a solid grasp of web application architecture.
• Product development experience: Proven track record of working on end-to-end product development, from early-stage concepts to production.
• Experience leading frontend projects and mentoring engineers, with a track record of setting technical direction.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including backend engineers, product managers, and designers.
• Flexible Work Hours: Willing to work flexible hours to coordinate with a globally distributed team. 

Bonus if you have:

• Experience with modern databases like Postgres, ideally with JavaScript ORMs (e.g., Sequelize.js, Prisma.js).
• Experience with computer vision, LLMs, LMMs.
• Experience building developer-facing products.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with AWS technologies like S3, EKS.

Although we are headquartered in Palo Alto, this is a hybrid role. The candidate should be based in the San Francisco Bay Area or willing to relocate, with the expectation to work from the Palo Alto office 2-3 days a week. The role will also require flexibility to collaborate with our international teams.
