We believe that Frontend Tech Leads should be fully hands-on as developers, experts who spend most of their time driving the launch of new features, addressing architectural challenges, and taking charge of onboarding and mentoring others. They are also an integral part of the infrastructure team, focused on creating tools that boost developer efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Own the front-end technical roadmap, managing technical debt and driving modernization initiatives (e.g., migrating from AngularJS to React).
- Lead and communicate architectural decisions, ensuring team alignment and adoption.
- Mentor team members, serving as a trusted reference and source of learning.
- Collaborate with developers to identify and implement infrastructure improvements that enhance development velocity.
- Balance between practical and innovative solutions and also between short-term and long-term.
Requirements:
- Expertise in TypeScript (preferred) or modern JavaScript.
- Proficient in React, state management frameworks (e.g., MobX), and building scalable data stores that integrate real-time events (e.g., WebSockets) and APIs.
- Good backend experience, with the ability to design scalable and resilient APIs using relational databases; experience with Ruby or Node.js backends is a plus.
- Proven experience in designing and architecting reusable design systems and component libraries.
- Collaborative team player with Product and UX, focused on delivering high-quality solutions with strong business value.
- Strong skills in optimizing performance and resolving issues effectively.
