We are looking for a human-centered and data-informed Senior Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst to join our growing, distributed team at Coforma.
The Senior FP&A Analyst will provide financial insights by analyzing complex data, developing comprehensive financial models, and preparing detailed reports to support key business decisions, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks, essentially acting as a key business partner to leadership by translating financial data into actionable insights.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for analyzing Coforma’s overall financial performance and modeling our potential for the future. This includes understanding key business drivers and identifying key performance metrics.

$147,290 to $165,830 Annual Salary + Benefits + Growth Potential
Placement within this range will be based on the competency level of the candidate. An offer will be made at one of the following tiers:
Tier 1: $147,290 — Meets minimum qualification/experience requirements. Beyond onboarding, will need additional guidance and training to perform key responsibilities of the role.
Tier 2: $156,560 — Experienced and fully-competent. Beyond onboarding, can independently perform key responsibilities of the role.
Tier 3: $165,830 — Highly experienced and can perform all responsibilities of the role at a higher level than expected once onboarding is completed.
To honor our company-wide equitable pay system, the posted salary range and corresponding tier salaries are non-negotiable.

What You'll Do — Financial Planning & Analysis
- Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, including developing detailed financial models and incorporating relevant business drivers
- Analyze variances between actual results and budget/forecast, providing explanations and actionable recommendations
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends and patterns impacting business performance
What You'll Do — Strategic Decision Support
- Partner with business leaders to evaluate new initiatives, potential investments, and strategic options through financial modeling and scenario analysis
- Provide data-driven insights to inform key business decisions and support strategic planning
What You'll Do — Reporting and Communication
- Develop and deliver comprehensive financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior management, highlighting key performance metrics and actionable insights
- Clearly communicate complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders
What You'll Do — Data Management and Analysis
- Gather, consolidate, and reconcile large volumes of financial data from multiple sources
- Utilize advanced analytical techniques to identify trends, patterns, and key drivers of business performance
Who You Are (Requirements)
- Proven experience in FP&A roles, with a strong understanding of financial statements and key business metrics
- Proficiency in financial modeling spreadsheets (ex. Excel/Google Sheets)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data
- Flexible and innovative with strong attention to detail and comfortable working through ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely (whether written, verbally, or through assistive technologies/aids) with exceptional follow-up and organization skills
- A passion for applying strategy, design, and technology to help businesses change the way they interact with customers, each other, and the world at large
- Full-time resident of the contiguous United States (must be legally authorized to work in the United States now and in the future without sponsorship)
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
- 2+ years of experience working on a remote team or remote freelancing
- 2+ years of experience in cost accounting in a government or federal contracting environment
- Proficiency in Cube financial modeling tool
