Financial Analyst, Senior – Operations

The Senior Operations Financial Analyst leads advanced operational and financial analysis to support strategic decisions. They manage forecasting, budgeting, performance reporting, and cost analysis, driving profitability and efficiency in operations. The role involves close collaboration with leadership and cross-functional teams to align operational goals with financial objectives. 

What You Will Do at Graco

Operational Leadership

  • Lead analysis of operational data, including production costs, labor expenses, and overhead costs, to identify and make recommendations for improvements. Ownership of variance analysis to understand deviations from budget and standards to guide operational team alignment and understanding. 

  • Develop and present detailed cost models and financial forecasts to site leadership.

  • Deliver high-level insights and recommendations to site leadership regarding operational trends and strategic goals.

  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize production processes and reduce waste, while being a key member to zero cost change.

  • Present financial reports to stakeholders, clarifying the implications of the data. Subject matter expert for operational leaders regarding financial performance and strategic operation initiatives.

  • Project manage process improvement projects, leveraging ERP systems to enhance data accuracy and efficiency.

Financial Planning & Analysis 

  • Lead the preparation of operations budgets and forecasts, incorporating market trends and operational data.

  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide strategic insights on risks and opportunities.

  • Develop and maintain complex financial models to support strategic business decisions.

  • Partner with supply chain and engineering teams to optimize cost structures and support strategic projects.

Reporting & Compliance 

  • Summarizes key events for leadership as a precursor to month end reporting. 

  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements across operations.

Data Management and Analytics

  • Implement and leverage financial tools to streamline forecasting, reporting and analysis.

  • Other duties as assigned.

What You Will Bring to Graco

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, preferably within the manufacturing or industrial sector.

  • Advanced knowledge of cost accounting, financial modeling, and operational metrics.

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, macros), and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Advance analytical, problem solving, and critical-thinking skills.

  • Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal communication and presentation skills. 

  • Highly proficient in ERP systems, financial modeling tools, and data visualization platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).

  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and influence decision-making. 

  • Exceptional project management and leadership skills.

Accelerators

  • Global industrial manufacturing experience and knowledge.

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation 

  • MBA or Master’s degree strongly preferred

The base pay range for this position is listed below, exclusive of fringe benefits or other compensation.  If you are hired, your final base hourly rate will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, competencies, education, and/or experience.  In addition to those factors, we will also consider internal equity of our current employees.  Please keep in mind that the range provided is the full base salary range for the role.  Hiring at or near the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future and continued salary growth.

$74,100.00 - $129,600.00
